Buycks.  Incredible shooting night.  Applied pressure on their PG all night long.

First one of the year.

In honor of my favorite poster, who has mysteruously dissappreaed, my new screename will be morebuycks.

PGsHeroes32

We need him to keep up the pts hes given the last 2 games. Seems like we have 4 legit scorers like last year now. Me likey.
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

Agree.  Only bad line was 4 TO's, but I think I only noticed one since they weren't boneheaded.  5-5 from three, he's stroking it with confidence.  yesmorebuycks!

Buycks had a great night, but consideration also needs to be given to Otule who provided us with an inside presence that forced Notre Dame to not concentrate on others.

Buycks played well offensively--defensively on Adkins he gave up 14 points when he guraded him, with at least 5 shots when Adkins was wide open
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

When he doubled as the defense required.  A couple of those were not his fault since the rotations didn't get there.

Rollout-the-Barrel

Buycks! With otule runner up.

I want to call out "nomorebuycks" like Omar Little called out Marlo Stanfield in "The Wire" right now.

Otule with a night like Dean Marqardt 30 years ago. Marqardt was 5-5 and 4-4 from FT for 14 very valuable points. Everyone remembers Doc's shot. Few remmeber that Dean was the SOTG.

How can you give SOTG to a PG with only 1 assist?????  ;D
What a great game by Dwight. Congrats on an outstanding game!!!!

Only Willie could find away to mention a negative about Buycks performance tonight...Sad.  While you are at dumb posts - do you want to go ahead and make your argument AGAIN that Gardner needs to be starting in place of Otule?

Congrats to Dwight!!  Great game and really happy for him.  He could be a major X factor for this team - it appears we have 4 legitimate double figure scoring threats - Buycks, DJO, Crowder and Jimmy.

You forgot Blue.  We have 5!

I'd like to nominate Jae Crowder for SotG.

At the risk of sinking to his level, my screen name is nomorenomorebuycks

Bonus of winning is not seeing his 30 negative threads.

I know SOTG has been named but Otule is due for one soon.

Otule got one earlier in the year.  Hopefully, he gets more.

As for Buycks, I think I'm in the majority (based on what I'm reading in this thread) who thinks we're down a scorer and a lot weaker when DB goes out of the game.

Buycks may have been on last night, but there were three shots after which I looked at my wife and said, "a bad shot that goes in is still a bad shot".

haha...there were more than a couple occasions at the game where people seated around me blurted "no!" when a shot went up and "Yay!" as it went in.

Ners--I call them as I see them. In the first 2:28 seconds of the game, Buycks allowed Adkins three wide open shots, fortunately, he only made one of them. Buycks also had 4 to's.
Yes, he had a great offensive game, but when people say he is in there for his D or his ball handling, then keep an eye on that also. Those are areas he must improve.

The first thing many coaches do is tell a player to look to score first and foremost.  IOW, there really isn't such thing as a bad shot if it goes in.

Willie...he was rotating off of his guy to double the post.  That is why he gave up open looks...that is what Buzz wanted him to do.
