So I was presented this question at work today, and I have gone into some thought into it and wanted to see other peoples reactions.

Who is your favorite team in the Big East besides Marquette.  Who, when on TV, do you tune in and watch every time.

I would figure mine would be Georgetown and Villanova based on watching on TV.  I love the patience of John Thompson III and the way his boys play defense, yet are still extremely athletic.  I love Villanova's all guard style of play.

Anyone else?

pure genius stuff by Bill Simmons, remember to read day 2

ChicosBailBonds

Nova and any of the Catholic schools (yes, even ND)

MerrittsMustache

DePaul (the favorite team of my youth) and whoever is playing Notre Dame.

Right now, probably 'Nova. Jay Wright's teams are so much fun to watch. Love the guard play they bring, and we seem to always have competitive, nail-biting games against them.

chapman

Syracuse.  As long as Boeheim's coaching and not whining.

CrazyEcho

Georgetown (Jesuit love)

Cuse (have a geographic connection)

Ari Gold

UConn and Nova. but I mostly watch for various players that I like.

The 'ville! ... Darrell G. The McCrays, and Wiley Brown with his missing thumb.

If you saw the 1983 sem-final game against Houston (Phi Slamma Jamma) I doubt you have ever seen another game play that much above the rim and with that many dunks.

Been a fan ever since ... even slick Rick has not ruined it for me.

PGsHeroes32

I usually like Gtown and Cuse but the last couple years everytime i need them to win...see Gtown tonight. They lose. Pisses me off.
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

I would say Pitt. I respect Jamie Dixon and the toughness of his teams...they never seem to have a down year, and I like how his role players seem to develop into leaders / stars as the previous year's stars / leaders graduate or go to the draft.

Nova 2nd.

Hate the Ville (which mostly has to do with living there for the four years after I graduated from MU and having to put up with their arrogant fan base, and our heartbreaking losses against them).

Danny Noonan

'Nova and the 'Cuse. I will watch ND but am definitely rooting against them.

Love Pitt this year.  But my favorite changes year to year.

Villanova

Least favorite Louisville slightly over Syracuse

caltruda

Seton Hall and Villanova. My mom used to teach there and had Andre McCloud as one of her students during the early P.J. Carlesimo era. As for 'Nova, lot of high school friends went there, and they are just consistent.

I will make a poll (because that is what I do)

My exact sentiments!

Eye

In order

DePaul (watched them a ton on GN in the 80s, were probably my second-favorite team until the late 80s/early 90s)
SJU (liked the Mullin '85 team a lot)
Louisville (one of my best friends is a U of L fan, went to the 08-09 and 09-10 UL - UK games)

Don't really hate any of them.

GO HORNED FROGS!
GO WARRIORS!

mileskishnish72

Three groups.

Like:
USF (did post-gtad there), Nova & Seton Hall (nieces went there)

kind of neutral:
Cin, Prov, Pitt, DePaul, St. John's, Rutgers

actively hate:
GT, Syr, UConn, WVa, LV (coach). ND is evil and must be destroyed.

downtown85

Count me in for liking Nova.  Hate ND and Looeyville.

willie warrior

None of the above. They all deserve to be beat by us.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

Word.

Nova as well, but they're #2 now.

Right back at you with the Nova comment.
