I'll admit I don't know what the truth is. Neither do you. I'll further admit in he said/she said situations where the truth cannot be discerned I'm more likely to come down on the side of someone I like and trust over someone I don't know. You think that makes me a knob polisher, I think it makes me a good and loyal friend.

But again, please spare us this illusion that you weighed all the "facts" and came to some sort of a morally and intellectually superior conclusion. You immediately took and vigorously defended the side that reflected most poorly on Buzz strictly on hearsay. That's fine with me, everybody's entitled to their own opinion. As far as the NLI goes, the fact of the matter is the NLI is a joke and one sided. Jay Bee says that's not the case and I think I provided plenty of evidence that shows it is.  If he disagrees, he's free to refute that it's absolutely one sided against the athlete.

I thought you were big into 'those pesky little details'... I would agree it is largely one sided, but continue to say what I initially did - it is not 100% one sided.  In fact, it does in practice offer leverage to kids who sign it.  That is one of the reasons many do recommend kids sign an NLI. 

You can cite little blogs and articles with the opinion of people all day long - but, show me where a court has deemed the contract unconscionable.

We just did a skit at work two weeks ago for an upcoming awards show with a Tom Cruise impersonator, Evan Ferrante.   Who ordered the Code Red was the spoof skit.  What a blast...he's pretty good.  I got to play Colonel Jessup which was a kick in the shorts.  Two of my colleagues played in another one spoofing Oprah.  Fun times.

I sincerely doubt that Fr. Davitt's view of empiricism meant only to go by what was in the newspapers and published.  What I was taught of empiricism was to rely on observations...ALL OBSERVATIONS, evidence, etc.  Not just the ones I want to believe in.  You had made a comment a week ago that since it wasn't in the paper (or something to that effect) that you could only go on the facts that were presented in some kind of official matter.  Davitt would role role in his grave knowing that was the criteria you were using as empirical evidence.

Teams were announced on Sunday night, game was played Monday night....less than 24 hours to sell tickets, scout a team, etc.  The NIT is almost always like that for early games especially games played on less than 24 hours notice.  Not surprised at the turnout in that situation at all.

hence... bad turnout probably a student section not very excited for mu not being in the big kid tournament either doesn't help.

Long time lurker on the boards, but man it is painful to read sometimes. You legit ruin every thread. It's rather sad.

There was a reason that Crean and Bo Ryan did not go after Maymon.  A reason everyone in the state knew about.  There was a reason why the top player in the state had offers were primarily limited to Green Bay, USC, Iowa State.  I'm sure there is another one in there that I can't remember.

My issue with that recruitment is we lost a year + as a result.  One, it prevented us from going after a kid that would be a sophomore and contributing right now.  Two, it adds another high profile transfer to the list from MU.  Three, it delays bringing in a replacement for more than a year which causes roster gaps further down the line.

We have to be careful and when there were so many red flags that the top two coaches in the state wanted nothing to do with this kid for a reason, we should have stayed away.  It's unfortunate, but that's reality.

Are you sure?  Since we took Roseboro that year, I guess that you're talking about someone, Buzz decided wasn't as promising as Brett.
