I would rather the basketball program disbanded then sit through another of these.

If they keep this up, I'm going to blame them solely for any losses this year.

As a graduate within the past 10 years, I feel that I have a foot down on both sides: an appreciation for the history and tradition for Marquette, as well as an understanding of modern, new-age efforts to advance Marquette as an athletic program and an institution.

These guys are horrifying and contribute nothing of value to the Marquette community.  Can't they "rap" about something not associated with the school? Or, maybe they could rap about the other schools in the Big East instead? It's psychological warfare.

I don't even hate this stuff.  It's just boring.

The Spanish O'Donnells are evil and must be destroyed.

Omit needless words.

No one is forcing Novak or D-Wade to appear in these videos. They clearly wouldn't do it if they didn't want to. So obviously they see some value in them.

I don't love these videos but think the hate is waaaaaaaay over the top. They are tuition-paying, Marquette students who love Marquette basketball. Ease up.

+1.  I don't even bother to watch.

However, it bothers me that the administration keeps pushing these guys.  It has clearly moved beyond "some guys having fun" to "Marquette sponsored crap".

Bingo! That's the real problem right there.

Honestly, I didn't care about these guys when they were doing this stuff in their dorm room, but now they are co-branding their crap with MU, especially MU basketball.

To Vic McCormick, why ease up?? As Henry states, they have clearly move passed "guys just having fun." Their product sucks, the criticism is justified.

That's really so bad its comical.

It's like a parody of itself.

I assume these are going to be shown during games, right? How else is MU distributing these? Outside of this board (which isn't MU sponsored) I have never seen any of these videos.

I'm pretty sure one of them is ROTC actually, so we can omit the tuition-paying part.

Agreed.  Similar to others, I don't really care much (my comment was more in Jest), but it seems odd to me that the University would semi-officially endorse these guys.

I don't hate them for doing what they think is fun, I'm just surprised that somebody thinks it's creative or clever enough for MU to set them up with these gigs.

MUSig54

If you guys hate the O'Donnells so much, why are you always posting their videos on here?

Tuition is paid for ROTC Students. It comes from Uncle Sugar. "Your Tax Dollars at Work"
