How many Vander Blues are there in Madison?  Strange.

I am sure it is probably his father, but every indication that I have read is that his dad isn't really involved much in his life....

And nothing good can come from these threads.  I would encourage the mods to delete it.

Not planning on deleting it (yet), I'll just point out a key line on Vander's profile on GoMarquette.com:

http://www.gomarquette.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/blue_vander00.html
"Personal: Born July 17, 1992 in Milwaukee, Wis. ... Son of Rita Blue ... Undecided on a major."

That's all the info he wished to share, and I think posters would be wise to respect his personal life beytond that.  Feel free to analyze his play though (like I could stop that...)

I agree. Very unfortunate.

I would not be the least bit upset if mods delete.

It is public record that VB's old man is a f*ckup.  It's also well known that his dad has had no part in raising VB.

Then why post it at all?

I don't think it needs to be posted, but posting a current news story is a lot different that digging through CCAP or old news stories.

Did the CCAP search... yeah pretty bad.

The only thing worth commenting on is its great for Vander to find a spot at MU and one hopes Buzz teaches him a lot on and off the court
