I wish we weren't playing this game.  I expect MU to win, so does everyone in the world....no win scenario for MU.  If they win, no gain.  If they lose, all the BS from the local papers start and they will demand home and home, blah blah blah.

Crean should be shot for agreeing to this deal.

Totally agree. What's even worse is after this game, it's 2 for 1 with them and UWGB. I have less of a problem with GB, only because Wardle is there. But this UWM series has done nothing for MU.

Goatherder

Getting Boyle back is bound to help UWM.  He had a pretty good game against us a couple years back in a lost cause.  The kid can shoot.  Also, it is early in the season, and Marquette played poorly in its exhibition.  And as mupanther notes, the game will be coming off of KC, so that might have some effect.  And UWM is finally getting their home game, so they are bound to be fired up, though I expect the majority of the crowd to be Marquette fans.

That said, the last three games have not been close.  Of course, the first was a terrible blow-out.  The second was closer, but still a blow-out.  Last year was close for a half, kind of close for much of the second half, and finally, a blow-out.  Eventually Marquette hit a couple shots in a row, made a few stops in a row, and suddenly, the game was over with about ten minutes to go.

While this is a road game, it is not a typical road game, as it is across the street.  The team does not want to be the first ever to lose to UWM, and man for man, UWM just does not match up.  I am not sure it will be another blow-out, but would not be surprised.  I am confident of a Marquette win.

I don't have a problem playing either one, especially UW-GB.  We have lost to UW-GB in the past and survived.  I am sure sooner or later we will lose to UWM and we will survive.

The shellacking Marquette was taking in the media over not playing them is what bothered me.  A team has a couple of good years and that's when they demand Marquette plays them.  And then to hear about the unbelievable sellouts that would occur and how great it was for the state of Wisconsin.  What a joke.

I do agree the 2-for-1 deal is disappointing.  At least we have two more interesting games in the schedule versus playing the Bethune-Cookmans of the world.
