Those guys always do a great job with the analysis.  I agree with every point they made... besides Frozena providing depth to our rotation :P

Henry Sugar

greycat does a great job with his previews.  He's doing a rundown of each BE team using the same format.  They're always well researched and balanced.

Litehouse

That's probably the most informed preview I've seen of our team from a non-MU source.  Much better than the larger national publications.

Benny B

Regardless of the content, anyone who puts the Warrior back into an MU analysis is all right by me.

That being said, I enjoy reading team rundowns from the "other side" of the court from people with no axe to grind.  I enjoy it even more when they prognosticate a 2nd quartile finish.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

"I love the fact that everybody says, 'West Coast kids don't go to the East Coast.' Well, don't generalize, because I'm different."
East Coast?  Just to be safe no one mention that the water is Lake Michigain and not the Ocean.

"I may bring the ball up. I may handle it sometimes."
It would help our avg hight and rebounding to have a 6'6 pg.

Seems like a fantastic get all around.  Nothing I don't like about him.

Seems like somebody's in the wrong thread... ;)

"Blue is a consensus Top 50 recruit, who was slated to go to Wisconsin before Badger fans changed his mind."

Villanova fans are alright by me. ;)

dsfire

The returning points number looks wrong.  Butler+DJO appear to be around 40% for points in conference games alone, closer to 54% when you add in Buycks, Fulce and the rest of the guys.  Not a big deal, just stood out to me since the number was so close to last year's.

Mr. Nielsen

I liked how they used the name "Warriors"

Concerns about the guards' role in the "swing" offense and (probably) Maymon got Blue to reopen his recruitment.  Badger fans so overreacted to his decision - including questioning his academics in a sour grapes kind of way - that they took Wisconsin right of of consideration on Blue's second go round.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

How did Badger fans change Blue's mind?

Badger fans started publicly talking about stuff that is personal (like his grades and how hard he was working academically) and pushed it way farther than you should with a teenager... something that fans have done in the past under the guise of "But recruits and coaches don't bother to read the forums."

Blue read the crap (because recruits and coaches read message boards) and didn't think it was right that his personal business was being chatted about.  Because of that he reopened his recruitment and MU came out on top.

And after all of that some jerks on message boards still talk crap about a recruit's personal life.  It blows my mind.

Ah..., this thread is starting to remind me of that wonderful thread from last year when some neophyte high schooler from Milwaukee way posed that innocent question: "Why don't Marquette and Wisconsin fans get along."

How did Badger fans change Blue's mind?

Don't forget about the meeting he had with Bo at his high school, the one where the details got out into the Badgerland media carnival, the one where supposedly it was said that his next college would have 'junior' in front of it.    Apparently, by that time, he was beginning to rethink the decision he had made as a 15 year old.   The combination resulted in a number of buckyposters slagging the kid, making it well nigh impossible, once he decided to re-open his recruitment, that he would end up at Wiscy.    This made them even more bitter and even more malicious in their posts and call-ins to local radio programs.

Bo was right. Blue is at a college with a junior in front of it. Junior Cadougan will be running our offense.
