Actually Ners, he didn't bring up Syracuse....Lennys Tap did.  I appreciate the fact that he corrected him.  Don't fall back into your "you're not Marquette enough" mode OK???

You appreciate the fact that who corrected whom and how?

Well, this is a Marquette Basketball message board - and having the continual aloof, arrogant and unsolicited posts of our Syracuse friend goodgreatgrand - is enough for me to break out my "you're not Marquette enough" mode.  Sorry, I cannot accomodate your request in this case Sultan.

I guess you're free to doubt it since Miller and Bello have zero interest in Syracuse. I'm sure you know more about BE recruiting than me. I'm equally sure you have less knowledge than me about any subject in which I have more than a passing interest. Have a nice day.

I guess I'll leave now.

Lovely. Graduated from MU in 3 years. Masters from Cornell. Currently a bulge bracket investment banker on the buy-side in the travel/leisure industry. No, I didnt grow up in tosa or brookfield; i grew up in nyc...where there actually are 'cracked sidewalks.' Yes, im arrogant, smarter than you, could frack your girlfriend if i wanted to and probably crap on folks like you on a regular basis. if you like al mcguire, you cant hate me.

Bitch.

Milwaukee was a nice, prolonged vacation for me. You? You're a fracking townie.
Business must be really slow for you..as my good friend who is an Investment Banker with Credit Suisse in L.A. barely has time to return a text message.  You on the other hand..can post here multiple times per day, apparently know more about all 16 teams in the Big East's recruiting efforts, hone your amazing fall away 3 point jump shot.  My guess, if you have to resort to making such an asinine post as the above...you are likely the furthest thing from what you profess to be.  That said, thank you for continuing to make yourself look like a COMPLETE tool.

I did like Al McGuire. If you think you're anything like him your sadly mistaken. He was a true gentleman whose close friends included guys like Dick Enberg, Ray Meyer and Hank Raymonds. He despised braggerts, phonies and the vile and vulgar. He would have been disgusted by what you just wrote.

Oh yeah? You know him personally? Am I talking to a 50+ year old or a poser from Tosa? I'll guess the latter.

Btw, NYC is not for you, pal.

You guess wrong.

I bet that felt really, really good for someone like you to write. I bet you deliver a very similar pitch to girls at all the awesome NYC clubs you go to. Good for you.

Seriously, you bring nothing to this (or the jsonline) board except arrogance and negativity. Whenever you feel the desire, you come here and tell us how foolish we are to pursue a recruit or how MU is a dead man walking in the shadow of conference realignment, or how amazing Syracuse is. We get it. Add to that the abrasive, pissy attitude you bring, and you are a real delight.

I have no doubt that you don't care that everyone on this board finds you insufferable. You're probably used to it by now. And you have every right to be here. But I just don't get why you feel the need to spend such a huge amount of time on this board. And don't answer that its because you went to MU, because you clearly don't care about MU basketball at all.

Its not that I think you should leave because you're not an MU fan, I just don't get what you get out of it, considering the obviously awesome life you lead. I mean, couldn't you be out trading bulges, "fracking" our girlfriends, and crapping on people like us?

and p.s.--I highly doubt you're from the "cracked sidewalks" area of NYC, so don't act like you made it out of the mean streets of NYC and have now conquered the world. You sound like a lot of very privileged punks I've met over the years.

weird. i dont go to jsonline (the milwaukee journal, right?) i read rosiak's articles every once in awhile though. And i dont think syracuse is so great. I just happen to know quite a bit about that particular program (father is an SU alum and mother is an MU alum). however, i grew up a fan of the BE and thus know much more about the BE than CUSA. in fact, i know nothing about cusa and couldnt name more than 3 teams in the conference right now.

So you act like don't even know the name of the paper I'm referring to, but can name its Marquette beat writer offhand? Also, you have responded multiple times without objection to 'bigeastbailout'.     Fishy......stop lying.

Oh, so its just that you are soooo knowledgable about BE hoops that you feel the need to enlighten us to the tune of 500 posts on another team's board? Thank you, oh enlightened one. Don't you have another venue for all this unsolicited knowledge?

And by the way, who said anything about CUSA?

I can tell you that a friend of mine showed me some pics of Quincy and Deuce at the Baylor football game this past Saturday..and on the field the cheerleaders had signs with Quincy's and Deuce's names - they both looked to be enjoying it..as did Scott Drew.

Okay... so where's the line drawn here?   I remember that when a particular recruit was about to make an official visit to MU last year, there were people on this board who suggested (likely in jest) a big welcome sign hanging from the beer can, but that was quickly dismissed as a violation of NCAA rules (one of those "soft" violations, probably).

So what's the difference between a sign hanging from McCormick and a sign being held by a cheerleader?

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

This is along the same lines as the West Virginia-Adreian Payne thing from last year.  A university-sponsored group (in this case, Scott Drew & the basketball staff via the cheerleading squad) calling attention to visiting recruits is a secondary violation.

Back on topic, there's a story on Scout (Insider) updating Miller's recruitment.

Anbody with an Insider subscription care to give the cheap bastards out here the jist of the story?

It really surprises me that Quincy Miller's recruitment seems to have very little to do with Marquette if you follow the main sites. ESPN, Scout, not even Rivals with 12 schools listed mention Marquette. Yet every time Miller tweets, Marquette is on his list. I don't really know what to make of his interest in us, but I would really love it if Buzz could just get him on campus. That would be a tremendous boost to our chances.

Boone

The Miller ship has sailed (as if it was ever really going to dock at MU).

The real question is "why not?"  Why can't we get a quality big?  Not all of these schools landing bigs have a tremendous history of developing bigs to the NBA level.  A good big at MU acan really shine in a lot of ways, the this staff is good enough to develop them further.

Not that we had much of a shot, but should be pleased that the we were in the #2 recruit's Top 5.

Damn....not a huge suprise by any means...but, damn.

This is not the worst thing, as trying to land Miller would take a huge chunk of your recruiting effort when you have an entire class to fill. Buzz will turn his focus elsewhere and hopefully land some of the players we need.
