Just curious if anyone knows if they're getting some interest from teams.

Mobot

I have heard that the Bucks have some interest in Diener, though I am not sure how serious they are.

With Luke Ridnour signed in Minnesota, the Bucks no longer have a backup PG.

Could use TD, or Dom who is on the summer league team.

MerrittsMustache

Both guys should come relatively cheap so I'd expect them to find new homes eventually. Novak would look good coming off the bench for Miami.

Seeng Novak on a playoff run could win back many MU fans for the Heat.

Could DWade the GM, swing for them both to sign with Miami? I know I'm dreaming, but they are short on guys and Novak and Diener will bust their tails and do it on the cheap!

Did MU fans ditch Wade when I wasn't looking?   If so, I am convinced that the Heat will make a push to win back the MU base.

MU fans definitely ditched the Heat based on comments on this board.  Not Wade, but definitely the Heat.

I was thinking that Miami would be a perfect place for Novak to play, they wouldn't have to pay him that much and all he would have to do is spot up and shoot threes.

I think the one thing every player, especially role player, on the Heat needs to do/be able to do is play solid defense.  With their size/athleticism I'm not sure they're a good fit.  Their shooting ability certainly would be an asset, and they play smart (wouldn't take bad shots or let their egos get in the way), but defensive ability would be an issue.  If you read Wade's comments, there certainly isn't a lack of interest from players around the league...he made it sound like they're being very selective in their process as their funds are limited.

CAINMUTINY

Novak has been in talks with Chicago and New York, but that is all I have heard.

I'd love Novak on the Bulls but is he still an option with the addition of sharpshooter Korver?

CAINMUTINY

I really couldn't say to be honest, but Novak and Korver play different positions so I wouldn;t rule it out.  As a knicks fan (possibly the last one!) I would love to see him play there and under ideal circumstances Milwaukee would be best as his wife is preganant and I'd imagine they'd like to be close to family.

Speak for yourself, this MU fan (& Bucks fan) will never cheer for Heat again. I don't care if Wade is on the team.

Korver and Reddick...right?? I think it's already going to be tough to play Korver and Reddick at the same time...Doesn't look like there would be minutes for Novak unless there was an injury, etc.

I would LOVE to see Novak go to the Heat and have 9, 12 or 15 points per night respectively. (haha)

It's possible Orlando matches the Bulls offer and keeps Reddick.  They will know on Tuesday.

EDIT: I mean't Friday.

Just curious as to why?

Yeah really, what is the big deal....say what you want about HOW Lebron left Cleveland but I think its refreshing that players are willing to take less money to win, both Bosh and Lebron left probably 5 million on the table per year. Jordan had pippen and grant, kobe has pau, odom, bynum, artest, etc. I for one just became more of a Heat fan.

BrewCity83

I'm a Bucks fan, but the Wade-led Heat is still my #2 team.  I'm with esoeroticmind on this one.

I'm feeling confident Orlando will match the offer. But at the same time, they'll wait so that the Bulls' options are reduced. Wes Matthews has signed, Anthony Morrow has signed, the good young 2-guards are disappearing from the market. By the time the Bulls discover the money they planned to give Reddick can go somewhere else, the guys they'll have wanted could well be off the table.

Could be for the best from Chi's perspective.  Reddick is not the long term answer.  I'd like to see a trade pulled off for Iguodala (Evan Turner is in Philly now), Monta Ellis (he was in trade rumors to Knicks), or Danny Granger (it would be hard to get him from Larry Bird).  Those three are under the radar, but would be nice scoring options.  No need to panic this year.

Bulls will likely get a top 3 seed by winning the Central, but they don't need to get tied up in a long term deal overpaying Reddick to try to win it this year.  Keep some flexibity and give the team a better shot.  I would rather have Diener or Novak at the minimum and try to make another move later rather than having Reddick at a high price.

Monta Ellis? He could totally disrupt that team.  On offense, the ball doesn't get past him.

Ellis is a risk, but he is a young scorer with upside.
