he is 6-3, 190 in both Rivals and Pomeroy.  Pomeroy has him stealing the ball on 4.0% and 3.8% of the opponents trips down the court in his two seasons at High Point, making him one of the top 50 ball stealers in the country the last two years.  His freshman year he had the 30th best assist rate in Division I basketball, and drew a ton of fouls.  As great as MU has been at stealing the ball the last two years, his steal numbers were better than anyone on the team - DJ or Jerel in 2009 and Lazar, Buycks and Acker this year.

Don't get me wrong, I know this was against the Big South and not the Big East so he wouldn't have pulled off those numbers here.  But I think this is a guy you could legitimately put into play the point if God-forbid we have someone out injured.  The kind of guy you sure wish we had on the roster when Diener broke his hand senior season.
The www.valueaddsports.com analysis of basketball, football and baseball players are intended to neither be too hot or too cold - hundreds immerse themselves in studies of stats not of interest to broader fan bases (too hot), while others still insist on pure observation (too cold).

Perfect example.  You can never have too many of those guys.

I still have painful memories of that disasterous NIT game with various people trying to run a 5th grade weave offense.  I don't think most of our possessions ever got inside the 3-point arc before we'd turn it over.

It was extremely difficult to watch.  You just KNEW we weren't going to score.

makes no sense to take this guy on and dangle a scholarship for him!
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

I believe that there is no limit to the number of walk-ons but I can't find it in writing.  Does anyone know?

Because of injuries and transfers last year, there were times when Buzz couldnt even have the guys go 5 on 5...it was 4 on 4 and sometimes not even that.  It truly speaks to Buzz' (and his staff's) ability to prepare his team to play the best league in the country, when they cant even run a legit scout team.

Now, barring injuries and/or transfers, Buzz has:

12 scholarship players eligible to play in 2010
1 high major scholarship player eligible to practice (Jamil Wilson)
1 Walk-on with low major D1 experience (Dave Singleton)

I dont mean to offend Rob Frozena, but I'm willing to bet Singleton (and Wilson) will provide a better look on the scout team than Rob could.

The makeup of this roster is something that should excite every MU fan.

Interesting that a walk-on can register for the Pro Am and get his application in on time for summer school... :o

BAZZZZZZINGGGGG!!!!! LOL...I hope he'll be at the Pro Am this weekend! I can't wait to go!

Mr. Nielsen

I know he is a walk-on, but I thought Rosiak would of had this up.
