It has been a while.

Does anybody remember what Wilson's HS stats and accolades were?
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

bilsu

I do not remember his stats, but as a sophomore he was as highly ranked as Tokoto.

Litehouse

FWIW, these were his final rankings:
Scout - #30 overall, #5 SF
ESPNU - #31 overall, #4 SF
Rivals - #94 overall, #18 SF

I hope this was dj's choice, and doesn't sour philly on us.however, you can't overestimate what a huge positive this is.  As pointed out on cracked sidewalks, a low 3-star guard rarely has any impact in the big east at least for the first 2 years. A high 4-star, and jamil was almost a 5-star in 2 of 3 services, has a huge impact by his sohomore year. His signing would make us a contender to go final 4 in 2011-12 with easily a 30-win season projected.  The 2010-11 season still projects to 25 wins, same as the last two 3-amigos years, though hopefully we sneak out at least one extra win to go sweet 16.

Let's not get overly exuberant, people.

Will he help? Sure.

How much?  Hopefully, a lot, but that will remain to be seen.

I'm excited for the addition, though.  Welcome, Jamil!

"As a senior, he averaged 21.1 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 2.8 blocks and 1.4 steals per game, leading the Rebels to the WIAA Division 1 state championship game in 2009, where they were defeated by Madison Memorial."

To be honest, I'd rather get the 4/5 star Wisconsin kids rather than Philly.  That being said, I really hope DJ goes the prep school route and comes to MU next year.

Fixed it for you.

I forget who was the point guard on that Madison Memorial team, was it Blue or Maymon?

BTW, Madison Memorial?  How long ago did Madison die exactly?
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

I see Jamil's transfer in the same light as Ron Curry coming from AZ in the early 90's with KO.  Solid impact, but maybe not All-Big East.  But, still significant.  Beyond that, its up to Jamil.
