BOO.. Playing on New Year's Day while the Bowl games are going on.

I remember on New Year's Day 20 years ago when the only game in town was Bowl games and stores where closed. Things have changed in life.

And now there aren't even any good bowl games on, other than the Rose Bowl.

Yeah, uconn and nova big wins have been ignored nationally due to being shculed at new years.

Ya, with the Orange and Sugar or Fiesta and Cotton on different days.

Deputy AD Mike Broeker tweeted the other day something to the effect that MU fans shouldn't stay up too late on New Year's Eve.

So, Big East schedule starts on NYD with an early game then?
I think if MU is playing on New Year's Day it will be on ESPN or ESPN2.

That being said it would be at 10:30 AM at the Bradley Center :o :o yes I said it 10:30 AM because the Gator Bowl is at 12:30pm on ESPN2 and the Capital One Bowl is at 12PM on ESPN. ESPNU at 11AM has the new Dallas Football Classic.

That was my thought as well, unless CBS or ABC would want the game?

ABC doesn't do college basketball anymore other than the semi's and finals of the SEC toury. Plus, ABC has the Outback Bowl at noon.

CBS, starting this season has no bowl game on New Year's Day. Last season the day after Christmas on Dec.26, CBS had the WVU at Seton Hall which was the only D-1 game that day. So... Brewtown Andy I think you have something hear with CBS.

It's one of two things...
CBS at noon or 12:30 or ESPN2 at 10:30
It could be versus a big time school like UCONN, WVU or Syracuse

Man, I can't catch a break.  I took my honeymoon last year over New Year's and missed both the G'town and Nova games, the two best games on the home slate.  Now, my wife is due on 1/1, so it looks like I'll miss another huge game.

Football season comes first for planning, primarily b/c the football schedules are set years in advance, but basketball is close behind.  I am bummed I can't go to the game at Vandy this year.  I would love to see a game in Memorial Gymnasium.

Lakers at Bucks on Nov. 16, so it's a lock that the Green Bay at MU game is Nov. 17.

UW @ MU, Saturday, Dec. 11 (we already knew that) but it will be at 1:30 on ESPN 2.  I don't know if that was known before this.

Didn't see this mentioned anywhere else, so apologies if it's already been posted somewhere. Anyway, the Big East announced the repeat opponents for next season. The three teams Marquette will be playing twice are Notre Dame, Connecticut, and Seton Hall. Personally glad to see the Irish twice on the schedule, and Seton Hall for personal reasons (ex-girlfriend is a SHU fan). As far as UConn, I just hope we play them early before their stock drops like a rock. Here's the link:

Apologies accepted.   ;)

Those repeat opponents came out in June.

I dont care that it would be at 1030 because of the games.  I'm more concerned that its at 1030 because i wonder if i'll still be up from the night before.

Mr. Nielsen

It's kind of funny that the 2011 MLB schedule is out and we can't even get the Big East schedule yet.

I love Victors, too. ;D ;D ;D ;D

I think now that New Year's Day game will be at noon on CBS. I guess we will find out on Friday.
