On another thread word is Hahn is talking about signing a LOI tomorrow.  Coincidence??  I think not.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

I was thinking that too.  I can see Gardner to USF & then Hahn's signing possibly getting announced.  The great surprise would be Noreen or Dieng committing to MU!

Yep, the Sun Dolls will be the deciding factor.

Why was I never shown the Sun Dolls when I was considering colleges?

Oh yeah, I'm 5'8" and can't dribble anything but beer.

Heard he was having second thoughts - pure speculation though!

I think he did, but it then had to be sent to Africa for his parents to sign. It is not offiical until they sign, because he is under 18.

Does anyone know if we definitely have offered Gardner a scholarship?  A lot of speculation it seems, but can BMA or someone else confirm we have an offer on the table to him?

As has been said numerous times...it is hard to know if a kid truly has an offer. He can say he does, his coaches can say he does, a relative can say he does...but how do you really know?  Coaches cannot comment on unsigned recruits, therefore they cannot say whether or not they have offered a player.

Recruiting analysts often have a good grasp on who has offers from where, as their info usually comes from college coaches/assistants. But they have to be careful as well again...because coaches cannot comment on players that are unsigned.  Kids lie about/misunderstand their offers all of the time.

In Gardner's case, he claims an offer from MU. If he has one, I doubt it is unconditional.

If I put on my "homer glasses," I can read this as...

Davante wants to come to MU...  But Buzz wanted to look at a couple more prospects such as Noreen and Hahn....  After this weekend's visit, Buzz officially offered....  Gardner's coming here...

I'll stick with this because it makes me feel good.   :D

Or, just for kicks and giggles, here's an alternate view:

Davante wants to come to MU...  But Buzz wanted to look at a couple more prospects such as Noreen and Hahn....  After this weekend's visit, Buzz officially offered Noreen or Hahn and received a solid verbal.......  Buzz called Gardner and told him MU is going a different direction and Gardner's coming here going to USF...

I'm not saying that this is my preferred outcome of all this.  I like Gardner and think he would be a nice get if we have a scholarship available.  I feel the same way about Noreen.  Haven't heard enough about Hahn to know for sure how I feel about him.  I think it's quite possible that Gardner's announcement today is related to what happened in Milwaukee over the weekend.  I'm just not sure which way it points.

The other site is saying/inferring someone will come on as a walk-on. Makes sense for Hahn.

Would that cut out Frozena as our walk-on for next season?  Or would/could we have multiple?  Is there a maximum roster size dictated by the NCAA (for non-scholarship players)?

We have had more than 1 walkon before.

In 2004-2005 we had 4 walk-ons:

Shane Grube
Rob Hanley
Chris Teff
John Willkom

He said the announcement will be at 4:30...and he lives in VA, so one can assume that is Eastern Time.
