We've got two very good scorers in Quincy Pondexter and Isaiah Thomas,
Not fair... they get an NBA Hall of Famer on their team.

The 6 seed is a gift.   At this point, this question is like asking why you picked the ugliest Victoria's Secret model.

Nice analogy.  Inspired.   ;)
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

It only took 44:09 to hear some b!tching about the seed we got.

Yeah - I was away for a few hours.  Then saw that we got a "6", which blew me away.  My next thought was who would find something to complain about.  Amazing!

Greetings from another U-Dub fan.

Washington wants to run up and down the court for 40 minutes. If you can avoid turnovers (especially your guards) and you go deep in the shot clock on your possessions, and you force us to play a halfcourt game on offense, you've got a great chance to win.

If the game is played too slow for the Huskies' taste, we sometimes go to a press in hopes of creating some turnovers for easy baskets or at least get the tempo of the game up.

We've got two very good scorers in Quincy Pondexter and Isaiah Thomas, great defenders in Venoy Overton and Justin Holliday, and we've got 10 guys who average more than 10 minutes a game. If we get the pace going the way we want, we try to wear the other team out with our depth. Our center, Matthew Bryan-Amaning, has been coming on late in the season with much better production than we were getting from the center spot earlier in the year.

I agree that we don't have a lot of top-50 wins (3-2 against the top 50), but, then again, we didn't have much of an opportunity. We usually don't schedule a lot of good out-of-conference teams, relying on the Pac-10 schedule to beef up the resume. That didn't happen this year because the conference was historically bad. Washington stumbled badly early in the conference season, but they played well the second half of the year. I think the jury's still out on us, so I guess we'll find out more on Thursday.

Anyway, I look forward to learning more about Marquette now that I know we'll be playing you. I know that with the competition you see in the Big East, you're not going to back down from anyone. I just hope to see a good game that's decided by the players and not by officiating that favors one team or the other.
Nice post and welcome to the Board...severral UW fans have posted nice things here..that's cool..as is some smack talk!  I greatly respect Ken Pomroy's ratings, and he has MU and UW 28 and 29 respectively.  It should be a great game.  Very close.  I predict that the winner of this game beats New mexico in the next round.  Both MU and UW have been very strong lately - I think y'all have won 14 of your last 16.  MU has won something like12 of its last 15.
"I'm not sure Cadougan would fix the problems on this team. I'm not even convinced he would be better for this team than DeWil is."

You know why we got the "toughest 6 seed"? Because of the four 6 seeds we are the least good at the game of basketball. That's how the ball bounces.

After getting run out of the gym in the second half vs. Georgetown, I would have bet my first born child we were getting either the 8 or the 9 (which really doesn't matter because as an 8/9 you are playing a team that was probably also interchangeable between an 8 or a 9, but I digress) and maybe slipped to a 10. A six is beyond my wildest expectations.

Complaining about getting "the toughest 6 seed" is like getting a free lunch and complaining about how it doesn't come with the large side of fries, just a medium.

I agree with you completely.  But I thought the Victoria's Secret analogy was superior to yours.   ;)
