Here's the deal:

My company was offered tickets to the games in Milwaukee on Friday night from a sales rep, and the only other person in the office who wants them is one of my bosses (who only wants them if Wisconsin is playing in Milwaukee)...  So if Wisconsin plays in Milwaukee on Friday night, I am SOL.  If not, the tickets are mine.

I think this is nearly impossible, right?

M@RQUETTEW@RRIORS

why is it impossible?  If they are a top 4 seed which is very likely, it could happen.

Hards Alumni

I'd put the probability at around 85% chance they play in Milwaukee.

PuertoRicanNightmare

Not only "could" it happen...I would be willing to wager that it will happen.

Skatastrophy

Wisconsin getting seeded in Milwaukee is dependent on where Purdue gets seeded.  I believe Purdue is the only Big Ten team with a higher rank than Wisconsin?  I don't pay too much attention to the B10.

Either way, you'll know in 2 days whether you get tickets or not :)

warriors1991

One of many MU fans who will be there, I'm pretty much assuming I'm stuck watching Bo and the boys desecrate our home court.

And I'm still wondering if MU is going to get a Friday game (I believe there was a previous thread mentioning that the NCAA no longer will necessarily give preference to a 'hosting' school), will the BC put the MU game on the TV's out in the hallways? If so, there will be more cheering and yelling from the hallways than there will be in the BC itself.
If not, Goolsbys, Turners, and Center Court better be ready for an onslaught of MU fans wanting to see our game..

warriors1991

Purdue and UW could easily both be put in Milwaukee on opposite halves of the draw (i.e. they wouldn't play each other on Sunday).

MurphysWarrior04

I guess I'll just have to hope Wisconsin gets an afternoon game...  We only have the night session tickets.

Hards Alumni

This is the reason you buy tickets whenever the Bradley Center has a regional game.

to scalp them to Bucky Fcukers.

GGGG

Unless Wisconsin loses really early and drops to a five seed, my guess is that they are going to be in Milwaukee for sure.  My guess is that Kentucky *might* be the other top seed (which will make tickets very expensive), but they may decide to put them in New Orleans instead.

Although, with the lack of teams out west, *someone* is going to get screwed and go out to San Jose or Spokane.

Benny B

Barring the unforeseen... Kentucky is going to end up in Milwaukee as a #1 seed.  That basically leaves an 8 and 9 seed open in one session, neither of which would be awarded to Wisconsin.

So one session remains a possibility for UW, but Purdue and Ohio State are projected as #2 seeds and MSU is projected as a #3 and Milwaukee is the closest 1st round site for all three.  As such, those three teams are higher than Wisconsin on the S-Curve right now and will probably get priority placement in Milwaukee, so UW would have to leapfrog those three teams, otherwise, MSU, Purdue or OSU will end up in Milwaukee.

The only likely chance that UW plays in Milwaukee is if they win the B10 tournament.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Homer and Mac mentioned yesterday that New Orleans had plenty of tickets to sell and the thought was that Kentucky might wind up down there in order to sell more tickets.

LAZER

But then you're talking about Duke heading to Milwaukee?

Highly unlikely that Kentucky gets sent to either Jacksonville or New Orleans.  Both of those sites are nearly 300 miles further from Lexington than Milwaukee.  I don't know what context in which Homer and Mac were speaking, but I have a hard time believing that they were being serious.

Kentucky, whether they are a #1 or #2 seed, is going to be in Milwaukee.  If you're a smart UK fan (of which there are 3), you're already buying tickets up here and making hotel reservations.

Further, there are legitimately 7 8 teams that could be a possible #1-4 seed which have Milwaukee as its closest first round site:

Kentucky
Purdue
OSU
MSU
Wisconsin
Pittsburgh  EDIT
Butler
Xavier

The competition for Milwaukee is fierce.  My guess is that UW will end up behind at least two of the other B10 teams and will end up going to Spokane or San Jose.

Even if the committee sends UK to NO to sell tickets, UW still has to beat out two of PU, MSU, and OSU on the S-curve.  Again, the best chance for that to happen is UW to win the B10 tournament.
