How about the possibility of meeting Nova for a third time this year and avenging that stinging defeat in last year's tournament?  Hopefully the guys can post a W on Wednesday and set up the rematch.  Go Marquette!

Norm

I don't like the potential of meeting UConn in our first game. If Robinson shows up we could be in trouble.

PGsHeroes32

it will be tough but i think we can beat them again
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

They're the 12th place team in the Big East.  They lost three straight games that they increasingly HAD to win.  Now they have nothing to play for because they're not going to win 5 games in 5 days.  IF they beat St. John's on their home floor and we play them Wednesday I hope the team doesn't act like we're huge underdogs like so many here seem to think.

St John's might be the tougher match up for us. They are very quick like us and New York is their home town. I most want to win on Wednesday, because i want another chance at Villanova.

ND has a pretty nice bracket there. I think Pitt is clearly the weakest of the top 4 seeds.

The "#2" next to their name would like to disagree.

Pitt didn't look very weak at the BC.

We're 0-5 vs. the top 4 seeds so we've got something to prove.
Nova & WVU seemed the preferable opponents. Hopefully the 3rd time is the charm!

ditto.  UConn seniors dyson, robinson, and edwards didn't show up to play at USF and they're not going to show up on Tuesday at the garden.  kinda reminds me of the MU womens team last year that laid an egg against #16 cincy on the first day of the womens tourney last year because the seniors didnt care.  they're done.  i wouldnt be surprised if Calhoun retires after a season like this.

as for St. John's, they're beatable but we need to be careful.  a rematch victory over Nova would be perfect to show we've thrown off our early season demons.  Syracuse after that is probably the end of the road.
