Why do I have a really bad feeling about that?  I mean, it should be a simple, easy thing to do, but we all know there's a good chance they will pick the people who manage to screw it up and make the plates look stupid.

Also, if the 11 not-Madison UW campuses total just over 1100 plates, it's a joke that MU has not been given a plate.  I think we can manage more than 100 orders from those in the state.

DONE!

Do you really want to flaunt having gone to River Falls or Stout?

Any truth to the rumour that license plates are made by UW alumni?

To reiterate .. my guess is that a special MU plate is $15-25 to issue, and $25 ongoing .. on top of the USUAL $75 you already pay each year.

$75 each year.....must be nice.  Not here in the Ca-Ri-Forn-i-a.  I just laid out about $400 for registration for this year's tags.

Before he passed away, my Dad had MURARA for probably 20 years.

I had MARQET  in the state of Ohio for about 5 years.  It even made it into the Warrior Shoppe gift catalog as a picture once.

one of the Deans or Associate deans of the CoC has an old audi with the vanity planes AU N Eagle. I ran into him at a starbucks once. i thought that was a pretty clever plate.

Red Volvo wagon?  I think that's Dr. Meyer, he had AU N Eagle last year.

He lives a block from me .. lets his kids pick a new plate every year.  Has something different now.

It is a joke that the state has limited these to UW System schools only.  None of the private schools have plates.  Here in Indiana, all of the private schools have plates.  I have actually seen some states that have out-of-state school license plates.  For instance, I think you can get an Auburn plate in Georgia.

There's an insane amount in Pennsylvania.  I've seen Cal and Michigan plates, in addition to a bunch of closer out of state schools (Seton Hall, Rutgers).

Ya, as many of you know license plates are made in various state prisons. So I'm sure there are plenty of UW alum helping make these, particularly football players.

Marquette's requirements are that you have to graduate to be considered an alumnus.  Other schools have different standards.  Where I work, you have to complete two years to be considered an alum.  However we don't know about you unless you "self-identify" yourself as an alumnus.
