they have their first 4 game loosing streak in over a decade.  This was one of our marquee wins and it's been seriously tarnished over the last 2 weeks.  Can't figure out if they're a bad team that overachieved early in the season, a good team whose just going through a rough stretch, or somewhere in between.

I think they are a bad team, who were just ranked highly because they have the makings of a good team (how many mcdonald all-americans do they have?) and their name gives them the ranking

pure genius stuff by Bill Simmons, remember to read day 2

Duke has six McD's All-Americans in Josh McRoberts, Jon Scheyer, Greg Paulus, Gerald Henderson Jr., Lance Thomas, and DeMarcus Nelson. Just goes to show how much having the most McD's AA means. As far as McD's AA from an MU standpoint I would say DJ should've easily been a McD's AA in high school. McNeal was a third team Parade All-American so he could've been one as well. In fact, I heard he was getting some strong consideration for the McD's AA team during his senior year. So the way I look at it we have two McD's AA.  :)

On the other hand, if they were as good this year as they normally are, we may have lost to them.  I remember posting after we played them that I thought they would finish around .500 in the ACC.  Our game with them didn't feel like an upset.  We seemed to be the more talented team.

Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.

Sophomore, Freshman, Sophomore, Freshman, Freshman, and the lone Senior.

Duke is younger than a lot of teams in that conference and lost a ton from last year's team. Can't say I am shocked at their struggles, they have lost a lot of close games and have not found the guy to hit that big shot like Redick used to.
