Recap: Syracuse

Syracuse, N.Y. -- There aren't many venues like the Carrier Dome.

Packed with over 29,000 people as it was on Saturday afternoon, it can be a loud, intimidating environment for visiting teams, as the Marquette Golden Eagles found out.

They did a great job for the first 16 minutes of keeping the fans out of the game, but once Syracuse made its run and got into the lead, it began rocking. MU did a good job of getting the fans to sit on their hands over the final 4 minutes or so as it put together a nice closing stretch to make it a close game at the end, but it was the final few minutes of the first half and the opening few of the second that gave the Orange enough cushion to withstand the Golden Eagles' run.
