Bachelor Party
« on: January 21, 2010, 10:17:13 AM »
Having my bachelor party in Milwaukee the weekend of the Notre Dame game.  I have a 5-6 guys from NYC, Boston coming in - any suggestions on some upscale bars I can take a group of 30-35 yr old guys to show them a good time in Milwaukee?

Meaning not an Irish pub full of fat chicks.  I know plenty of those.

It has been awhile since I have been to Milwaukee so please correct my list when it turns out these bars are all closed now.

1. Bar on top of the Pfister, Blue Bar or something.
2. Swig on water street
3. several bars in the Cathedral Square area seem to be "upscale"

uhhhh... Velvet Room on Old 3rd World... its a Jazz club I think.

I'm sure there are some martini bars if that is what you are looking for...

Decibel (North & Prospect)
Suite (3rd)
720 (Milwaukee St.)
Notte (3rd)

I often don't like Decibel because it's a pain to get out there. But those would be your clubs to check out.

My brothers bachelor party (25-31 yr olds) we went to Ale House and then German Beer Hall... German Beer Hall was about as much fun as we could have that night... until we got to the Bay View Legion Hall for kareoke at a random 80 yr old birthday party... quite a riot.

I've actually been to Silk once last time I was in town.  We were not impressed and left after about 10 minutes.

If you go to Art's Performing Center you'll likely find what you're looking for. Say hello to EAT while you're there also. He's the dude sweeping the floor, wearing an MU hat, and playing pocket pool.

that's your best bet.  plan to spend the evening there.  you can go out for drinks anywhere, but there isn't a better way to show your east coast buddies what a bunch of mediocre midwestern meth-head strippers will do for a dollar.

OTB is fun for bachelor parties, I did mine there on friday night and then we went out on saturday.

Unfortunately, they closed all the porn stores with the video rooms on I94 in Kenosha, so 4never is now an unemployed jizz-mopper.
