He was shown on TV @ the Wisconsin game right?  Anybody know a reason he was in town?

North Carolina State.  He and Buzz are friends.  Coached together at A&M perhaps?

Was it NC state?  Time flies.  Anyhow, I know they coached together (yes, A&M), but they haven't hung out a lot (admittedly Billy has more time this year).

I donno, just seemed odd to me, unless Billy had something to do, or some recruit to go after in the area (as any good unemployed coach, I'd expect him to spend his full time recruiting while he's not under NCAA regulations).

I suspect billy was simply keeping the lines of communications open during a period of unemployment.  It was NC State where he sat at the scorer's table adjacent to the MU bench.

Thanks - clearly I've been too busy.  Can't even remember games from 13 days ago.

Gillispie was in town for a week, giving Buzz insight from an outsiders point of view.

I also found it interesting that Pat Hazel was around the team for a few days hanging out per Buzz.

Maybe that was to show the new guys how much Buzz *can* yell at you during practice  :D  A little incentive to improve 1% every day....or else :)

I would hope that Buzz is using Gillespie to be the liason with with some bigs, e.g. Daniel Orton, who is playing behind DeMarcus Cousins at Kentucky.  Would be a nice mid-season transfer.   Somebody like Orton would get tons of minutes here and we would be a final 4 contender in a year or two with someone like that playing on our front line.

Hmmm...  He's on the BU roster.  Why would he be here?

Mike Kelly noted that at one point Buzz turned to Gillespie and asked him for a little help with their D.  It was during the run that totally eliminated our 9 pt lead from the first half.

I think his old lady is still at MU.  and he's redshirting, so he's not playing games.

He was here the weekend before Thanksgiving and I assume BU had the entire Thanksgiving week off of school. And when I saw him he was with a young lady, as Ziggy suggested.
