According to jsonline..."Illinois forward commits to UW Duje Dukan, a 6-foot-8, 180-pound forward from Deerfield (Ill.) High School, has given an oral commitment to play basketball for Wisconsin.Dukan chose UW over Arizona State, New Mexico and George Washington. He joins Eau Claire North center Evan Anderson and Port Washington guard Josh Gasser in UW's 2010 freshman class."

6'8 180lbs, is this guy starving himself, seriorusly?

EVEN BETTER, he's a 1*STAR player on scout.com   lol

I guess this is what you succumb to when you lose the Vander sweepstakes.

You know we have a guy on our team that is 7'2 and 215 (if he ate a double sobleman right before weighing in)?

here's a mugshot

He might look like Tyler Hansborough, but he's a long way from playing like him.

Thank god Buzz is a master of Texas recruiting.

Be careful.  We won the battle over Blue.  Things could be very different next year or in the future. Remember, coaches are dealing with 15-18 year old kids who make decisions for very different reasons than an adult may.

We did recruit a player who wasn't even the best on the Quakertown baskebtall team in a conference that had never produced a D1 player.

Though if I were a Badger fan I would not be very pleased with that recruiting class, especially with Bohannon and Hughes done after this year.

A couple of things:

--We wanted Evan Anderson too.  It turns out that he isn't quite what people thought he would be, but they did get him.

--If they get Tokoto, UW pretty much has the upper-hand again.

Recruiting can be a fickle business.  We may crow now, but that doesn't mean anything next year or the year after.

Even with these so-called lackluster players, Bo will be above .500 in the Big Ten (for what it's worth) over the next few years.  Those games might be as boring as hell, and the final scores might be in the mid 40's, but he'll win more then his share.

I believe he grew 6 inches in the past year.

And Buzz hardly took any flak over that.

I love threads like these.  It shows that we can be as classy as those on the Badger board!

From what I hear, this kid isn't staying in Wisconsin . . . but, if he does I like what our team looks like when Tokoto is ready to commit (spring his junior year, or fall his senior year). Obviously, the timing is an assumption. But my gut tells me that Maymon and Co. will be on an up-swing and making some headlines versus where UW will be at that time (I just don't see any top Big Ten finishes, or tempo changes coming with the "talent" he is bringing in -- coaching talent and all).

No need to worry about this. Tokoto will be playing in the ACC.

I have to agree that this thread  is pretty classless.   I go over to a Badgerboard and read their takes on MU and I find myself stunned by the ignorance and lack of class.    We don't need to lower ourselves to their ground hugging, snuffling level.    Congratulations to Mr. Dukan, hopefully this is a good fit for you.

yeah i'm baffled by the comment saying IF UW GETS TOKOTO...I would almost put a LOTTA  money on the line already that theres no way this kid plays in this state come college time.
It's not about ME,
It's about US.

I made the comment.  I pretty much agree with you...but you never know.  That's why I said "if."

Obviously Buzz is going to recruit an in-state player of that size, even if he is the next Brian Butch and his 5 star status lasted about as long as Diamond Taylor did on the Badgers.
