Cop out...

That's fine...but how are teams that didn't even start until 1960 or 1977 or 1998 supposed to react?  They weren't even around when the Packers or Bears were playing.  So you can only control what you've done since you've been around.  How you compare to other teams when you were actually playing.

That's fair I suppose.  On the other hand, you can't discount championships because of who people were playing.  You beat who is put in front of you.  The Packers have done that 12 times in 90 chances.  The Cowboys have done it 5 times in 49 chances.  I'll let you do the math.

You can make arguments about the best players in the world since the merger or whatever, but some of the old guys who played every minute of every game both ways and didn't have the luxury of top notch protective gear or rules against excessively dirty play might disagree with the Cowboys fans who feel that way.

Matters more in GB than Dalls. We do have league most 12 NFL titles after all. Titletown USA.

I agree that the Packers are a team that has a rich history, but 1 title in 30 years doesn't really match the attitude of "Win a title or you're gone"

The Packers were in the dark for 2 decades... so let's not leave that part of the history out.

Right, and for 49 of those years we competed against each other.  That's kind of my point.  What happened the previous 49 years one team can't even talk about because they didn't exist.  I also don't think you can ignore that there were two leagues going on at the same time for some of those years.  Or in the old years such teams as the Akron Pro, Canton Bulldogs, Frankford Yellow Jackets, Cleveland Bulldogs, Chicago Cardinals and Providence Steam Roller were NFL champions.  Back then there wasn't even a championship game in some of those years, simply the team with the best record was crowned champion.  I'm not taking away from it, but much like Madison winning their NCAA basketball title when there were only 8 teams invited...well it's a bit different than winning one in the last 3 decades, I think you would agree.  You still have 12 titles, most ever.  Unlikely to be passed because it's so damn hard to win one now.

I do agree. And Dallas is right in the mix with SF as the second best franchise since the merger, behind Pittsburgh, of course.

High scoring for Dallas.  Ware will have 5 sacks. Take that to the bank.

EDIT: And I'll take your trade.  Phillips saw issues four weeks ago, hell, one week ago, and he fixed them. You're 6-2.  If the trend continues, he'll finish his third straight winning season in a brutal division since becoming Cowboys coach.  He's 25 games over .500 as a head coach in his career, to McCarthy's 6 (mostly because of a cushion built on one seemingly lucky season).  What respect has McCarthy earned at this point?

LOL.  Again, this is why we would love to get rid of Wade Phillips.  He's a complete joke.  I don't know if Dallas will end up winning this game, I doubt it, but he's a complete joke of a football coach.  The sooner the Cowboys get rid of him and his soft pillow coaching, the better they will be.  LOL, called this one all week.  Dallas is so soft, just another fraud again this year with Phillips and Jerry running the show.  LOL

Kinda the way I felt with Crean as our coach from the FF on, JD. The only difference is Phillips seems likable, not always hyping himself when selling yesterday's fish.

Totally different....Crean actually won in the post season....Wade hasn't...EVER...ANYWHERE.  His teams are soft and they don't come ready to play.  I don't think Crean's teams were EVER soft.

Yeah, you should have heard me during the game.  I was honestly laughing through most of it.  My fellow Cowboys friends thought this team was legit and I've told them all year they are fraud.  I'm glad they get it out of the way now, makes my life easier when the collapse comes....and it always comes in December with Wade.  I just hope this will finally be the year they can him, but Jerry can control Wade and that's why he keeps him around.

Packers have 3 NFL championships since the merger. Cowboys, 5. 49ers, 5. Steelers, 6. Patriots 4?

The packers also won football championships during eras of other leagues, the Second World War.

It's just not the same as, say, the 49ers doing 2 back-to-back championships in the 1980's with 28 or so teams.
