Now what?

Pray that Otule is vastly, vastly, improved and Mbao can improve.  With Clark out of picture, no bigs on the horizon.  At least for now.

My guess is that we have about a 25% with Walker and Pinkston, and about a 40% chance with Blue.

I wouldn't doubt that we see at least one JUCO to balance out the Class of 2012.

Pinkston is a Nova lean now according Zags. Buzz has an in home this week. Hopefully he can work some magic.
But I like to throw handfuls...

Yes it is.

What concerns me the most is that we have three openings, and we seem to be the favorites with none of the big targets to fill them.  Everyone was talking about how Bowen was no big loss, but my guess is that he will be better than at least two of the three we get to fill those openings.

For as much as you can rag on Deane's recruiting, wouldn't you just kill to have Jarrod Lovette right now?

I agree.  Class balance is still an issue, buzz will need to still find a JUCO or two to fix it.

In the Big East?  Not really.  He would be acceptable, but I doubt he would get to double digits in scoring in the Big East.

Considering his performance against the Cinci's and UL's, I think he'd hold his own.  It wasn't like he made his bones against UWM and shrunk in big games.

ASU visit must have been so bad that it convinced him to commit to Wake without taking his visit to MU.

Perhaps, but from a consistency stand point he barely got double digits for full seasons which included the dregs

It all depends what Cincy games you look at.  His point totals against Cincinnati are 5, 11, 6, 8 and 5.  Against UWM, by the way, he had 2 points.   Against Louisville he had 8 points, 19 and 19.  He played well against UL.  I look at what he did against Memphis...3, 4, 4

Against Wisconsin 0, 10

5 against Oklahoma State

I like Lovette, but I think as the years have gone by, he's become better in myth than reality.  The numbers aren't there.

Maybe Desrosiers was afraid of the injury gremlin that seems to stalk The Al.  If a couple of the guys we signed would be able to play this wouldn't be such bad news.  If you have Laim and Otule (+ one full year of play) on the roster we've got time to fix this problem.

C'mon, the gremlins can't be any worse than having the entire football team waiting to jump your as soon as you leave your practice facility  ;D

Hmmmm,  a recruit that we were in a high profile battle for goes somewhere else.   If Buzz MO follows, we should have an announcement shortly of a recruit we did not even know we were in on.

I thought Buzz was supposed to be this super-recruiter.  All I keep seeing is close, but no cigar.  Can't put a team of "almosts" on the court.  C'mon, Buzz!

He closed the deal on Junior, jeronne maymon, and Erik Williams not to mention the coup he committed by getting DJO out from under some pretty serious contenders.

ok, how about someone over 6'7"?  crean could get the little guys, too.  maybe the ceilings are too low at mu and it scares the big guys away.

With tons of playing time available to provide....Crean landed classes like that too.   We'll have to see if Buzz can do this with multiple playing classes
