According to their website, it looks as if Craig Pintens, Associate AD for Marketing has left MU. Does anyone know anything about this?

http://www.gomarquette.com/athletic-dept/marq-athletic-dept.html

Hopefully, they will still play Streets this year.

mu_hilltopper

Yep .. Pintens has left for "a great opportunity" as LSU's Asst. AD (Marketing).

I told him I expected to see some home & homes with LSU starting next year.

TallTitan34

His last day is the 16th I believe.

Best wishes to Craig at LSU!  He will be missed!

Gwaki

Best wishes to Craig.  Should have brought Blueteaux back for the mascot game now....

Definitely a loss for MU. Craig did a great job here.

Can't blame him though, one of the top FB schools in the country would be tough to pass up.

This is going to set us back years, if not decades.

Why no love for Joe True? He's one of most responsive people I've ever dealt with at MU. If I ever need extra tix, away games, passes -- he always gets right back to me. Seems to be a pretty solid guy.

TallTitan34

Craig Pintens Fun Fact!

Craig Pintens once saved an NFL quarterback while training to be a lifeguard.

He's also the best guy for creepy appearances at Hegarty's with co-eds.

He also got beat up by a bunch of little kids as a mascot

as Snappy the Beloit snappers mascot while in TT's home town of Rockford at a Boy's and Girl's club.

He also makes some of the best paper airplanes in the world.

Ahoya06

Craig's last day was today. Thanks for all the great work you've done here, and best of luck in Baton Rouge!

Might be, but he doesn't have the composure of the AD at a Div I, Big East school.

Joe True is to MU ADs what Mike Deane was to MU Head Coaches.

Be that as it may ... Joe True is the person who made my trip (as a student fanatic) to the 2008 Big East Men's Basketball Tournament games @ MSG possible . . .

mu1642

Joe is only nice if you have the $$$$!
Very hot/cold person!

muhoops1

Everyone is hot and cold.  Are you nice to everyone all the time?

mu1642

It's his job to be nice to donors, no matter how much they give@@@@

I deal with vendors, suppliers, clients on a daily basis and you would be surprised by how many people do not get back to you in a timely manner, if at all. Customer service is pretty much dead in America, IMO.

I don't know all of the responsibilities of Joe True's job, and I don't know him well, but the guy is super responsive and has always come through for me and others. He may not be slick and over-the-top nice all the time, but he gets the job done. Does this qualify him for a promotion? I don't know. But the guy is not a jag.
