Bruce Pearl's integrity coming under fire

Daniel West's high school coach Lou Dawkins isn't impressed by what Bruce Pearl did to his former player. I can't believe UT did that kid like that. That is flat out wrong on so many levels. You have to love how some in the local media are doing Pearls bidding for him. Don't these people have a conscience. When somebody does something wrong, they're wrong. It doesn't matter how brilliant or charming or talented or energetic a person is. For someone to repeat Pearl's weak line on this situation that West was 'never a member of the program' is really sad.

A UT poster brought this up: "I'm sure this stuff could be looked up, but I think if the NCAA rules you ineligible, then they're unconcerned until you are eligible.  Unless you get paid for play in the mean time and your amateur status is in question, you're just a regular student."

Sounds like UT could be "okay" in their action, yet their hands will be stained with the action of telling him go somewhere else. They recruited him, made "promises," West's coach helps raise money to pay for his UT tuition, and when the kid follows the "MOU", Pearl (who does not return calls from West's coach and mother) and others decide to tell him to go elsewhere.

It's only a matter of time when this s**t gets lit AND hits the fan...
