Given the number of players we are still listed as recruiting on Scout and Rivals, I'm not surprised one or two haven't been called out here.  We seem to be recruiting a huge number of players for 1 more scholarship to flank Bowen & Clark.

Checking out Scout, they have us in the running for 9 of their recently updated top 75:
#8 PG Kyrie Irving
#20 SG Doron Lamb
#24 PG Joe Jackson
#31 PF Tobias Harris
#39 PF Dwight Powell (teammate of Cadougan)
#43 PF Terrence Jones (MU one of 16 per Yahoo 4/26)
#49 PF Tobe Oyedeji (supposedly eliminated MU according to the LSU board)
#64 SG Gerard Coleman (MU has offered, but PC and BC lead)
#70 SF Alex Rossi

Rivals has us still in on 45(!?!) additional recruits.  I'm sure that they are a) slow to update and b) including not only "Plan B" recruits, but Plans D, E, F, and G as well.  But still . . .45 more?  Then, add another dozen or so additional new names from the Wiki.

Just seems like a hell of a long recruiting list considering we have one more scholarship.

Here are the players listed as Marquette Interest in Rivals:

Rival's PGs:
Trae Golden  (4 star)
Tyrone Garland (3 star)
Cory Joseph (3 star)
Reggie Smith (3 star)
Doward Evans
Anthony Fields
Kyle Fuller
Josh Gasser
Wally Sajimi
DeShaun Wiggans

SG:
Langston Galloway (4 star)
Moses Morgan (4 star)
Brandon Spearman ( 4 star)
Dante Holmes (3 star)
Mike McCall (3 star)
Rickey Scott (3 star)
Cole Stefan (3 star)
Max Lenox
Jeremy McCray
Mike Poole
Brian Richardson
Dyami Starks
Orlando Walker

C:
Monty Brown (3 star)
Will Regan (3 star)
Daniel Edwards
Jake Kreuser

PF:
Devon Collier (4 star)
Stephen Baird (3 star)
Chad Calcaterra (3 star)
Kyle Kelm ( 3 star)
James Johnson
Ben Mills
Chip Rank
Dominic Rutledge
Tim Toler
Derrick Williams

SF:
Flavien Davis (4 start)
Shane Southwell (4 star)
Chanse Creekmur (3 star)
Jamail Jones (3 star)
Tony Mitchell (3 star)
Tyree Mccary
Kevin Noreen
Rod Odom

deep vacuum

Well, if every new season brings 7 new players with it, that list is actually very short.

joe jackson is old news nothing to discuss untill there is something to discuss the old days of article after article primed by the one man media machine only to miss out and fall flat on his face and sign an unheralded last minute Juco are over.

Buzz is in on so many big time recruits there are not enough hors in the day to discuss them all,  but remeber we should hold judgement becuase Buzz might be the first coach in history to fail with elite talent

Jumpin' Jive album was pretty cool too.
Also Cancer and Breaking Us in Two were great songs.

But can he play the wide post???????

Back to the Hoops Joe Jackson...

Looks like a possible connection between Jackson, Pearl, and the whole West mess...

From a UT board:

"West will go to juco in Pensacola then have 3 years to D1 ball left.

Dawkins said he's heard from alot of schools from Carolina to Kentucky.   Dawkins said he would probalby send him to Kentucky so that Daniel could play against Tennessee.

FWIW, I think the recruitment of Joe Jackson may have something to do with this terrible decision.  Either that or Pearl decided he couldn't play at the high D1 level anymore and signed Goins in a panic.  Dawkins sounded like a classy guy and handled the interview as well as anyone could given the circumstances."
