I don't see how they can ban it.  It's not directed at any specific recruit.  If they choose to sign up for it then they are making the effort.  Going to be a popular idea for a few years.

It's permissible, but only as a means of one-way communication. This means coaches can't reply to messages by anyone, including recruits. The purpose of Twitter, in my opinion, is to not only share thoughts and opinions but to engage in short conversations with your network.

Although if anyone is an expert on one-sided conversations, it's our former coach.

Twitter has a direct/private messaging feature, so I expect the NCAA to shut this down sooner rather than later.
