Maybe I'm opening Pandora's box of Chicago vs. other styles of pizza, but since we're on a binge of Best ______ threads, how about za?

I'm a big fan of Barbierre's which is on Bluemound in Tosa.

Balistreri's, on 68th and W Wells wipes the table with Barbierre's.  Those are my two favorite pizza places in the city, though :)

I agree Balistreri's.  My in-laws live near Cataros in West Allis, about 57th and Beloit, and that is very good.

Zaffiro's...the Sobelman's of Pizza.

MUfan12

Another vote for Balistreri's.

Pizza Man on North is great as well. Riverfront in the Third Ward serves up a pretty good one too.

Was not impressed with Zaffiro's. Maybe I just had a bad pie there, but it was very bland.

reinko

Zaffiros is great pizza.  Barbieres has the most amazing garlic bread.

The best chain pizza joint has to be Papa Johns.

Garlic Dipping sauce...

For the record, the best pizza in the western Milwaukee suburbs, is the one I make on my grill at home.

I'll bite on the Chicago style bait.  It has to be Lou Malnati's.  My wife and I are considering moving out of Chicago and a good Malnati's pizza will be sorely missed (although they're shipped frozen variety are pretty close to the real thing.)

As for Milwaukee, I'll second whoever said Zaffiro's.  When I lived over on the east side and didn't have anything for dinner I'd go pick up a thin crust for myself!  High quality stuff.

The Lens

Chicago - Lou Mulnati's
Milwaukee - Zaffiro's...only complaint I've heard is canned mushrooms but I don't usually order them anyways

As for Angelo's...the concave pepperoni that hold extra grease, just spectacular.

absolutely Zaffiro's.  next is Orso's on Wells in Old Town.

MilWarrior

Ballestreri's and Barbierre's. No contest.

Long gone now, but anyone remember Cataldos on Brady? That was some good stuff.

mu_hilltopper

My wife and I used to go to Cataldos when we wanted to say hi to our mob friends.

I know I'll get ridiculed .. but I love Edwardo's pizza.

Boy, Pizza Man has a cult following.  I like it, it's fine .. but I can't stand it when someone wants to have a group outing there and you have to wait 1-2 hours to get a table in a place that has no where to wait.

But they must put crack in their pizza, because some people would crawl there barefoot to get pizza.

Best pizza ever...Imo's...St. Louis style.... I'd take it over any deep dish any day

ZiggysFryBoy

Pizza man=way overrated.

Zaffiros is awesome.

Angelos is good too.

In Madison, Roman Candle is a 1/2 step below Zaffiros.

Nothing is better than Chicago style.

77ncaachamps

Malnati's.

Took my gf to Chi-town about 2 years ago and hit up the Malnati's downtown.

Great pizza...great crust...awesome salad, too.

If by 'nothing' you mean anything, I agree.

ReneeRowarrior--- good call, if we were bringing out of town pizza into the discussion, then my number one pizza would be Imo's.

all time best:
