Women's NIT

Just got back from Normal and the Ladies disappointing 51-50 loss to ILL State.  Having, I must confess, not followed their season very carefully I was surprised that Krystal Ellis played only 13 minutes in a non starting role and had 0 points. 

Anyone know what the story is with that, injured, sick?

krystal's season has turned south in a hurry teh last 4 months or so.  angel robinson has been given the reins to the team.

the rumor has it teri gave the seniors a choice of playing.  began with... when they lost to the #16 seed in the BET, teri mitchel told all the ladies to go home for the rest of the break (meaning their season was done).  marquette however accepted a bit to the WNIT (not sure if that's what teri wanted or not) so they made all the calls to bring the team back and start practicing again.  and i guess these games were going to be used to get underclassman playing time and experience, and the word went to the seniors about they could have a say in their playing time.

the WNIT game against Butler at home, Monfre, Ellis, and Thower didn't start and played a handful of minutes each.  Paige sat the whole game at the end of the bunch, my guess with her was teri's doghouse.

how'd the game go overall.  missed the online feed.  thought about making the trip, but 4+hrs in the car didn't sound to appealing

I went to a the women's game against WVU back in February and Krystal didn't start that game. Story I heard was that she had some issues with Teri.

Thanks for the update.  The game last night was rather sloppy.  A very poor shooting night.  Defensively, they looked good, but very out of sinc offensively
