IU will have everybody back, they will all have a year under TC's system, the B10 is easier, they have a good class coming in.  MU has a good class coming in, a total stud and leader in Lazar.   I think MU narrowly has a better record than IU.

The records might very well be close...but MU's will mean much more (BE vs. Big Televen)....

I'm not sure if the Big Ten will be easier than the Big East next year.  The Big East will not probably have 3 one seeds and 2 three seeds next year.  It doesn't take much for players to learn to run the weave at half court under Crean's system.  Actually, Crean's act might actually get old on those guys.  I think that Buzz having gone through an entire season will help Marquette a lot more because he can develop some in-game savvy as far as calling time-outs.  Both schools have great recruiting classes, but MU has a stud leader in Lazar.  MU will have a better season.

IU is returning everyone from not only the worst team in the B10, but far and away the worst team.  They have a decent recruiting class coming in, but is it that great?  Remember that Ohio State was MUCH better last year than IU this year and then added two McDonald AA's, a point guard and a center.  They parlayed that into a #8 seed and an early exit.  Big deal.

Yes IU does better, they go from 11th in the B10 to 9th or 8th.  Not a slam on IU, it's that they suck and a few four star freshman and Jeremiah Rivers is just not going to cut it in the B10.  Who are they better than?  NU and Iowa?  Who else?

MU is returning Butler, Lazar and Acker.  Add in out recruting calss (which I think is better than IU) and we are a middle of the pack BE team next year.  IU is still a bottom feeder.

So who will be booted off IU's team to make room for a new recruit?

I'd rather win more games that Syracuse or Pitt.

IU winning/losing has ZERO effect on MU (unless you are going to say that IU could help/hurt UW's RPI and thus MU's RPI, but that's a big stretch).

Let me save you guys the trouble.

Chicos: "With Crean's system and recruits, blah, blah, look for them to make it to the near top of the blah blah blah.  They got this one kid, blah, blah blah.

MR.HAYWARD: Sweet analysis Chicos, if you weren't so far up TC's blah blah, blah.  Crean sucks, Joni sucks, blah blah blah, his little kids were so effin' annoying, blah blah.

Patrick Hazel......oops, I forgot he will be booted from our team.  I get confused.

I think MU will have the better record by about 3 or 4 wins.  Wouldn't shock me to see MU play IU in the NIT next year.

IU will be around .500 next year

The difference is Buzz hasn't chased any of his own recruits off the team yet.

Correct, in his first year with only 2 of his recruits on campus, he has yet to run any of them off.

4Ever, it's your buddy DKCL here, I love your fight but if you read between the lines Buzz may be running off a few guys and soon.  He's a coach who openly states he'll never stop recruiting "great" players, no matter what the circumstance.  Now you could argue that eventually as he gets great players he will never need to replace a bad player but no one bats 1.000 with recruits.

Man, what has happened to me?  Yesterday I agreed with SJS, today Chicos.  PRN is right, name changes are evil.

DC, I hear you man. But, thus far those he may run off are the departed's leftovers. Many of us questioned whether Crean should have offered to begin with. I'll go on record right now as saying I'm not in favor of pulling any recruit's scholly just because the coach now do better. I know scholarships are 1 year renewable contracts, but to me the commitment is on both parties.

I object to the name change. I always enjoyed seeing your posts by someone with a name too long to fit in the subject, etc.

Who the hell cares, get over the Tom Crean bashing.  He was a hell of a lot better for MU then Mike Deane!!!!

That's BLASPHEMY!!!

Only TWO players transferred out during Deane's tenure compared to Crean's 14 (+ some recruits)!!!

Even Crean didn't run off anyone in the first few years that were his recruits.  Again, let's wait and see how Buzz handles this in an apples to apples comparison.
