passion of da coach

Said Buzz moves to the top of the list for coaches being an ass in the tourney for his tirade at the end of the game...

SERocks

Geez...what the heck did Buzz do?  He was fine.  If all it takes to be labeled an ass, imagine what McGuire must have been labeled as and he is viewed by everyone as one of the greatest of all time.  I will take it.

Go Buzz.

Pakuni

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Buzz correct in both instances and the officials put more time on the clock as a result?
I mean, sheesh, what's he supposed to do ... calmly let a slow-triggered time keeper let precious seconds tick away?

DJO's Pump Fake

Buzz handled everything this year perfectly.....he has my vote of confidence

Brewtown Andy

Apparently they missed Mo getting CLOBBERED.

passion of da coach

I do not think his reasction was any different from the western kentucky coach when the refs missed him calling for a timeout, that coach went sofar as to track the refs down after the final buzzer sounded.

MU_Warrior44

I loved how Buzz reacted towards the end of the game. ESPECIALLY the way he was yelling while covering his mouth with his hand. That was classic. I don't really think he was an "ass" based on the circumstances.

In regards to that Western Kentucky coach, I'm surprised he didn't completely blow a gasket there. (And then Seth Davis acts like an idiot and defends the refs saying that all 5 players should have been calling for timeout, rather than just the one player and coach that got ignored).

Those two guys are a couple of boors and a couple of bores.  I hate their show. Buzz was right to be upset, Acker got creamed and should have been shooting 3.  Which, btw, would have helped MU beat the spread and thus soothed my angst by increasing my finances.   ;)  Does anyone know which conference those refs came from?

Seth Davis wasn't acting.

Pardon my French, but Boers and Bernstein are a bunch of assclowns for those of you outside Chicago.

Boers is a former Sun-Times beat reporter who's about 60 years old now, but thinks he's a frat boy.  Bernstein is Duke-educated snob who regularly trashes callers that try to challenge him and thinks he's the next Dan Patrick, but with about 1/5th the talent and class of Patrick.  Also, Bernstein was once the DePaul play-by-play announcer, but got canned for refusing to apologize for mocking the Catholic Church's priest molestation scandal on-air.

In the end though, they're no different than most local sports talk hosts.  (Bleep) them.

The General has taken on a new command.

Boers & Bernstein=JACKASSES

Anybody who has ever listened to these guys would know there opinion means nothing. They treat their listeners like crap and show no respect for anything or anybody.

mikeDEANmeminger

Potentionally, it would have done more than help Marquette "beat the spread". Three free throws with more than 1 second left on the clock technically gives us a chance, even down 4. Acker makes the first 2 and misses the 3rd gives us a chance at a tip or a rebound putback and overtime. Unlikely I know, but crazier things have happened, especially in the first weekend of the NCAA tourney

Well said... these guys are a$$clowns.  They probably didn't even see the game or the "foul" on Mo and are just reacting to what they heard or read.

Boers and Berstein is the best show on the radio...but they are wrong in this case.  I thought Buzz was fine.

And anyone who wants to complain about Mo getting fouled is just pissing in the wind.  It had no bearing on the outcome of the game.

They're pretty entertaining, but they're also over-the-top agitators. It works for them, and makes for some fun programming at times. But their sports opinions are never to be taken too seriously because they're more interested in getting a rise out of you than offering you insight or information.

Completely disagree... hit the first two free throws and purposefully miss the third.  Get the rebound for a putback to tie or a three to win.  Crazier stuff has happened...

I was just flipping stations in the car and heard them laughing about Lance Armstrong breaking his collar bone. I don't care if you like Armstrong or not, but you have to admit the guy has worked hard to fight cancer. They are f'ing idiots and I can't figure out why they are still on the air.

Yeah, I'm sure he did, and that's great. So what? Doesn't make him any less of a drug user, less of a fraud  or less of a DB.

77fan88warrior

Was it ever proven that he was a user? I don't think he has ever had any titles taken away. However, odds are that he did use peds just like most cyclists.
B+B are losers and don't have anything good to say about anyone. Boers' columns always ripped people and added nothing to the process. It sounds like Buzz was their convenient target today.

Uhh...sure.  You hang your hat on that.

I don't even think he was fouled.

Boers and Bernstein have a great program and I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't heard them.

I disagree with them on this issue though.  Buzz was not out of line one bit.

I love the guys, just because you don't agree with them on a few topics doesn't make them ass clowns!

Is there a better radio segment than "who you crappin'?"  Find me one milwaukee sports segment better than that!
