When do we start cycling in some scrubs and leave 1-2 starters in?

{Juggernaut}

Just started to do that with fulce in the game... The defense looks really bad with fulce, burke, cullbian, jerel, and acker on the floor...
Da Bulls

NavinRJohnson

Truth be told, he has kinda been doing it the whole game.

Mayor McCheese

I agree that we should rest the starters... but lets trounce St. Johns... make it a statement game, our boys need one after losing 4 in a row.

Lets win by 40.

pure genius stuff by Bill Simmons, remember to read day 2

Big Papi

He is resting them.  Fulce is in.  Burke is playing.  Cooby is playing.

We came out sluggish in the second half and were outscored 6-2.  Now we have righted the ship.  Your not going to see McNeal, Matthews, Hayward and Butler on the bench for 12 plus minutes straight.

It is interesting that now that Buzz is subbing more freely that our defense has taken a huge hit.

Hazel?  Is he deep in the dog-house?  And why?  I think I saw Frozena off the bench before him last time that came around.
I'm like a turtle, sometimes I get run over by a semi.

JMcSteal

alrite buzz even the announcer is saying get mcneal outa there lets go, we are killing them,

Take them out

Woodgreen Warrior

just logged on to see if anyone else was thinking that this was ridiculous that our guys are still in the game.  I want me some Otule!!!

Lennys Tap

Leave it to the Warrior Nation walkons to start ripping Buzz in the midst of a 30 point blowout.

You have to admit, its sort of ridiculous that they are in still....

redbirdwarrior

I hear that Buzz is finally getting a rest and DJ is coaching the rest of the way.

If we were on the other end of this blowout, you'd be calling it classless that the starters are still in the game. And you'd be right.

Now we know why Buzz has so little faith in his bench. Fulce and Otule both like they've missed a year. I hate to speculate, but you have to wonder if Hazel has already told Buzz he's gone.

I'm starting to wonder if Hazel is getting the Ryan Amoroso treatment, i.e. no playing time if you're transferring.

ecompt

+1.
I thought the exact same thing. The kid is from Queens, for God's sake, and Buzz refuses to give him 10 seconds of playing time in a 30-point blowout in NYC????

nyg

Up 36 with 4 to go, then he pulls them.  Buzz really can't trust some of his players and at times I believe it. Oh boy, Otule looks real lost, Fulce at least ran up and down the court, Hazel gets no PT, and a walk-on plays.  The hockey player McMorrow better have some skills.  Nice win.

mu_hilltopper

Nah, Ryan Amoroso got the Carlton Christian treatment.

ATWizJr

Looks like he did rest them:

Burke 19 mins.
Zar  27
Mo  27
Jerel  26
Wes  31
Butler 26
Cooby 25

Carlton Christian got the Kevin Menard treatment.
Though, as a good a kid as he seemed, I'm not sure there was any other way to treat Menard.

WOW! Kevin Menard.  I forgot about him. Wasn't he TC's first recruit and first transfer if we give TC a pass on Krunti Hester?

I don't see any comparison between Menard and Christian, outside of the fact that they both left.

Menard was a good kid who was outmatched at MU and found his level at Carthage.

Christian had high-major talent but was a head case. Ditto with Amoroso.

I'm inclined to think Hazel (if he leaves) is more like Menard than like Christan or Amoroso.

Sigh ... first, I'm not saying anything about the relative character, good or bad, of any of these kids. In fact, I said Menard seemed to be a good kid.

I was - with tongue firmly planted in cheek - comparing their situations in that their minutes all but vanished when it became clear they had no future at Marquette beyond the present season. Menard played two minutes in conference play, both in January. Amoroso's situation, obviously, was an extreme example.
Sorry my (perhaps terrible) attempt at making light of the situation was lost on some.
