We got the Johnnies tomorrow... Thoughts?

Feels like we finally caught a break (somewhat).

It's going to be tough...but this is a game MU should win.  You never know what you would get with Gtown.  St. john's has been playing better as of late but MU like I said shoudl be able to handle it..  If not they certainly won't get out of the first round of the NCAA's.

OregonWarrior

This is a great game for our confidence as we should be able to knock of St. John's and finally get a W under our belts without James. Granted, the game is on the Johnnies home floor but, if this team wants to make any kind of NCAA run, it's a game we should win by 15.

AlumKCof93

Based on reputation, that would seem to be great.  But ultimately, one has to realize that Georgetown just wasn't good this year.  They somehow were a tall team that couldn't rebound, a team with talent but had trouble scoring, a traditionally well-coached team that lacked chemistry.

We've got St. John's.  A team that's won lately, but one we should handle.

I def like our chances more playing St.Johns than having to play Gtown for a 3rd time. However this is their homecourt so who knows.

Good thing is Johns just played a tight one and fatigue will hopefully set in

MU wins it

mugoose

i like that we are playing sj much better than g'town.

it won't be a gimme by any means....but this should equate to a W. Finally

lab_warrior

We'd better win, that's all.  It's the post-season.  Win, no other advice necessary.

Tough game no matter what.  The one thing I like about facing St. Johns:

Boothe 40 minutes played
Horne 40 minutes played
Kennedy 38 minutes played
Evans 36 minutes played

22 total bench minutes today if ESPN boxscore can be trusted.

+1 I'm much happier with playing St. John's instead of Georgetown.

mug644

While I'm happier playing St. John's than G'town, I do worry that the team might relax a little more than they should. The attitude about playing G'town seemed likely to be "we've got our backs up against the wall and we have the challenge of beating a team for a third team...let's not let up and get out there." With St. John's I fear the attitude might be "yes! We don't have to play G'town and we'll get another chance to take it to 'Nova."

Fear the let down and the trap game, especially on their home court.

MU seriously needs a chip on their shoulder and a win on the court.

Rosario scares me.

that is all.

What evidence of any kind is there to indicate this is the case?

Well, that shouldn't matter, because I think Rosario plays for Rutgers...

I hope MU wins.

Not sure if your line was a joke or not, but the straightforward answer like that made me laugh.

Beating the Johnies would count as a road win.  Can never have too many of those!

Caught a break? You're kidding me. St. John's just beat GU and you feared Georgetown? Damn tough match-up for the Warriors are they're presently constituted. I'm sure Cincy thought they caught a break with DePaul also. MU will be lucky to win.

There's no reason we should not win this game. If we cannot beat St. John's playing its second game in 24 hours, then I fear there are very few teams we would be able to beat in the first round of the tourney.
