MU NY

Does this give us more time to prepare and some needed rest or does it soften us? Pitt has UConn to deal with on Wednesday.

NYWarrior

Positive.

MU has turned the corner on its season winning three tough games in a row.....now TC has an extra couple of days to practice hard and prep for what is BY FAR the conference's best team.  Pitt has an enviable 9-man rotation, and a plethora of scoring optionss --- Ronald Ramon is now coming off the bench for these guys.

Given the difficulty of the matchup, and realizing this will be MU's 3rd road game in its last four outings -- the time off can only be good.

nice handle btw  :)

NY represnets!

ZiggysFryBoy

totally positive.  gives the chance for the team to rest and to prepare for Pitt.  4 games in 9 days wears on you.  Some guys looked banged up a bit last night--DJ with the leg wrap and ankle roll?  Just keep Jimmy Mac coming to practice to bang with Ooze, Burke and Kinsella.

MU NY

Al would love the good MU banter coming out of the Big Apple these days!!!
Update...my mistake...Pitt vs. UCONN tonight...

Pitt is well coached, big and tough at home.  We will need solid play down low from the bigs.  They have to step up.  The rest can be helpful but the edges tend to stay sharp with a mid week tune up...no?

Once a warrior always a warrior.. even if the feathers must now come with a beak.

One situation I could see being bad for the team is if UC (btw, good marketing on UCONN and PITT's part to always have their name capitalized like that) were to beat UP.  I would not want to see the pitt team comming off a loss, ready to get back into their winning ways.  Let them be as (over)confident as they want.

It'll be great as long as we don't send any players to the hospital from "rebounding" drills. We're a well oiled machine now!

I love that Crean and the staff have a week to gameplan for Pitt. I'm sure we'll see some new wrinkles in the offense, and I wouldn't be surprised to see us implement some 3/4- or full-court pressure in this one.

Dry White Toast

Positive without question.  This is not 51 days off before a bowl game or 2 weeks to prep (and get out of rythm) before the Super Bowl.  We're talking 5 days and one day is to travel.  These guys need some time to heal and the coaches need every minute to prep.  I love the national TV match up with 0 expectations.  Glad to see Pitt get the win tonight.  We did not want to face them with a chip on their shoulder following a home win.
