Jeronne Maymon delivers in the Big Apple

Written by: noreply@blogger.com (NY Warrior)

Over the weekend, Marquette commit Jeronne Maymon slipped into NYC for the IS8 2008 Tip Off Fall Classic and led the Unique All-Stars to a convincing 99-77 win over Mount Vernon on Saturday.  Maymon led Unique with 24 points.   Interestingly, Maymon is teamed with 2010 Marquette target Tobias Harris on Unique.  The 6'8" Harris participated in MU's elite camp this past summer.

The New Big East Basketball Report filed a report on the game as well as an interview with Jeronne here.

Thomas' Danish Delight

Lots of love for our boy!

Can't wait to see him in our exclusive uniforms ;D

Nice to see Maymon tearing it up in NYC. Interesting to see that he is Harris' teammate. Would not be surprised to see Maymon make an appearance at Marquette Madness...

Let's hope he can keep it up in the BET. Did you know that most of Pitt's starting lineup is from NYC? Playing at MSG is like a home game for those guys!!!!

Maybe Sharod Wright steps into the Snaer role if we are unable to land Snaer?

QuoteJeronne Maymon poured in 24 points, including a pair of clutch free throws down the stretch

How do you have CLUTCH freethrows in a 99-77 game?

Hey, if he hadn't put up those clutch free throws, they never would've gone on that 20-point scoring run afterwards! ;) (I have no idea)

Picky, picky, picky.

It's a fair question. Either the author threw that word in just to embelish, the game was close and then got out of hand in the last minute or two, or I'm completely missing something.

It may be a typo.  On a different page, the New Big East Report lists the score as 79-77, not 99-77.

Jeronne Maymon's free throws count for 10 points each.

actually, when Jeronne Maymon scores, he tells the offical scorer how many points he wants.

All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.
