Based on everything written about Justin Lewis this year by those closest to the team, I have little doubt he was honing his craft and working hard.

I guess the bottom line is that you think Shaka is an idiot and/or a poor motivator.

Because why would a good coach keep giving 35 mpg to a player who "seemed completely disinterested" all season? Why would a good motivator let a player get away with being "completely disinterested" all season? And here I thought you supported Shaka. My bad.

C'mon man, I'm certain you know this, but just to refresh your memory, Looney was the 11th rated player and a McD AA at 6'9.5 inches tall coming out of Hamilton HS. Had offers from all the big boys. Final 6 schools were Duke, MSU, Tennessee, Florida, UW, and UCLA. Chose the Bruins partially because Steve Alford told him, "I'll get you to the NBA" and was smart enough to arrange a face to face meeting with Kevon's favorite player, Kobe.
He played the entire college season injured. Tore a hip labrum in September prior to the season lifting weights. In spite of that, Kevon averaged a double/double and was named 2nd team All-Pac 12. Went on 18 pre-draft workouts and was projected to be a lottery selection until the torn labrum was discovered in pre-draft physicals. Fell to Golden State, who by the way, never worked him out prior to the draft figuring he would not be available at #30. When shaking Adam Silver's hand after being selected, Silver jokingly asked Kevon, "what took you so long to get here?"
Looney is an unrestricted free agent after this season, has 2 rings, and earned approximately $23.5 million during his career.
