I want this quote to serve as a reminder to the vast majority of scoop posters in regards to the MU BB program.

Decent buy, they're usually a top-200 program though they fell off hard last year. They were really young, with two freshmen and two sophomores starting. If they can avoid transfers, at a glance they should be in the 200-250 range.

We'll put them away late hopefully

Warriors, Come Out and Playeeyay

Just when the season ticket holders are threatening to cancel, they go and do something like this...

And totally redeem themselves!

You still wanna go to fiserv?

Mr. Nielsen

Add UConn to make it 10 BE games every year. That should end 2 non conference cupcakes at home.

In the short term with contracts set, maybe. I definitely think some programs will use the move to 20 to replace high major non-con games in the long term.

Mr. Nielsen

In Marquette's case if I'm not mistaken on the timeline, they signed a H/H with UCLA and Notre Dame after the addition of UConn. Also, knowing the year old addition of the Big East/Big 12 series. I would have to think every season ticket holder is happy  with this.

Not saying Marquette specifically, and I'm glad to see those additions, but the idea that this will lead to universally stronger schedules 5, 10, or 15 years down the road remains to be seen.

Look at the Big Ten this year. Purdue and Minnesota were both going to miss the tournament largely because of their 2-4 records against quality non-con opposition. Turn 2 or 3 of those losses into buy game wins and they're probably tourney teams. Their overall SOS was strong enough to take the hit and the real problem was simply loss volume. The same could be said of Syracuse and Georgia Tech (not eligible, but would've had a case with fewer non-con losses).

There's a reward to the 20-game schedule, but also an added risk for bubble programs. Given time, I expect ADs to adjust scheduling to achieve results. Especially in a league like the Big East where basketball success is your biggest measuring stick.
