Marquette is the top-ranked school in Wisconsin for highest employment rate, and has one of the highest percentages in the entire nation:

both of my sons, 2009 and 2012 literally walked right out of MU and into their respective careers, finance and marketing and collected a pay check within 2 weeks with the companies they are with today.  me too, but my dad made me go to work with him ;)

I think a lot of people feel the same way with the benefit of hindsight.  Looking back I also had no money and parents that wanted me to get to work.

If this bothers you, I'd suggest this is the wrong site for you.

Mike has had his share of snarky posts over the years too. Big picture, Nads and JB contribute a lot to this free message board.  ND sucks BTW.

Thank God for smoked meats.

Edit: it looks like the Mods cleaned up this thread. My comments were for CheckMarq.

BTW, ND STILL sucks.

Nice to hear, but what are the starting salaries?

Enough for the kids to want to stay employed, apparently.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Of course, there is always the reality of getting paid to travel the world.

I have had many European colleagues and friends over the years, especially Germans and Scandinavians, who really didn't begin their working careers until their late 20s.

The merge of subsidized tuition and social acceptance of exploring and absorbing knowledge from other people's makes this a normal decision choice for young Swedes, Danes, and Germans (interestingly, this isn't true for Norwegians who, I believe, are among the most insular people.)

All the gregarious Norwegians went a-viking 1100 years ago.  The home bodies stayed behind.
