When OP said there were "all sorts of possible tangents" for this thread, I don't think he anticipated where this one was headed. Scoop is fun.

They sure do know how to party

"ambient air inside of the home registered a .01 on at least one police department-issued breathalyze."

You should be ashamed of yourself, ambient air.

[Below average at best] joke aside, without context, I have no idea of the significance of ambient air testing positive for alcohol.

And, now the "Little Sleigh Man" is getting into the action and is sending reindeer powered projectiles our way...

This would never happen at MU

Trying to figure out how this is possible. I mean you'd need to All only have strong enough alcohol that it's still trying to become a gas and have a tightly enclosed room right? college beer or jungle juice wouldn't do that.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

No Virginia. There isn't a Santa Claus anymore.

Here's the sad story of Santa's final trip...

A watch commander at the North American Air Defense Command saw an unidentified flying object appear on radar over Canada  early in the evening of December 24th. The NORAD commander noted that the UFO was changing flight heading and speed as it crossed the Distant Early Warning ("DEW") line and headed for the United States.

A stir at NORAD command became more pronounced as the UFO moved closer and closer to American Air Space. The watch commander called a general who ordered three F22 fighter jets into the sky to intercept the UFO and identify it, as part of the Pentagon's $22.0 million UFO tracking and identification program. After about 20 minutes, the fighters found the object approaching the U.S. border near the Montana/North Dakota state line.

That's where things went southbound, very fast.

The itchy-fingered fighter pilots weren't sure what this low-tech device was. There was no transponder signal, running lights or other external markings to indicate the origin of the object. All the pilots could see was a faint red light at what appeared to be the front end of the object. As the object passed into sparsely populated Bottineau County, ND, it began to began to gain altitude and its heading changed to 120 degrees. At that point, the general in charge order the fighters to bring the object down to earth, whatever the cost.

The pilots fired two missiles and moments later, a large ball of flame was seen near Roth, ND. Trump Administration officials initially said the intrusion was from an illegal alien who did not have the proper authorizations to be in the United States. Defense Department officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, indicated that the intruder presented a security risk and was headed for Peace Air Force Base near Minot, ND and threatened the safety and security of east central North Dakota.

The truth was much harder to swallow.

Early Christmas morning, Bottineau County Sheriffs Deputies found the wreckage of the UFO about 25 miles south east of Roth in a wheat field. Burned and lying alongside the wreckage was eight large reindeer of a variety not seen in North Dakota since the receding of the last ice age. The wreckage also had thousands upon thousands of burnt toys and the remains of a heavy-set gentleman in a strange red suit. Bottineau County officials declined to identify the name of the man found in the remains pending notification of his next of kin.

As America woke up, thousands of children found themselves without Christmas presents. Angry parents immediately called talk-radio shows and demanded an immediate investigation. Republican House members noted that the person was an illegal alien while Democrats simply said, "what would you expect from this Administration?"

The Defense Department quickly seized all of the remains at the crash site and moved them to Area 51 in Nevada. A Congressional investigation was held in secret session and the results will be made public in 2345.
