Again, the misfortune of other teams ought not to be something MU can "take advantage of" or is "better for us."

It's just plain $h*tty for all involved. It's not an opportunity.

It's $h*tty for Creighton and Xavier, $h*tty for the Big East, $h*tty for Watson and Sumner and even $h*tty for the game. But the season hasn't been cancelled and somebody has to finish second or third. Any way you look at that's an opportunity that previously was non existent for Marquette.

This, sucks they got injured. But this is not a time for MU to feel bad for Creighton or X. It is indeed an opportunity.

This. Of course.

Nobody felt sorry for us when Dom got hurt or Otule. They might have said so, but they only meant it sucked for the player. They weren't going to play less hard because we didn't have Dom. If anything, it might have energized opponents to play harder against us.

And we hopefully will have the same feeling when we go against Xavier and Creighton. (In fact, I think we already did in our game at Creighton.)

Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.
