Stoopid question:

Season ticket holder uses My Marquette Account to print tickets for a game.  Online FAQ says "Once you click the 'print' button, the downloaded tickets will be required for entry to the event. You cannot use any tickets that may have been previously issued or printed."  Nevertheless, I seem to recall in the past having printed tickets but then using the original tickets to gain entry, which would contradict the above.  Has anyone else successfully used original tickets after printing at home either this year or in years previous?

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

I think it is one ticket scanned per seat.  Shouldn't be a problem.  If so go to ticket booth in NE entrance and they can print you your ticket.

Well, one thing I confirmed last night that the second you view your tickets' barcodes on iOS, your original tickets are dead.  If you go to "manage your tickets" online after pulling them up on your mobile, you'll see that it actually shows the status as "viewed on mobile."

Still not sure on what happens to the originals when you Print-at-Home, but I was also able to confirm that if you print your tickets, you can still pull them up on iOS (I don't see why it wouldn't be the same for Android as well); however, I also assume that pulling tickets up on mobile will also void any Print-at-Home tickets previously generated.

I recall either Marquette and/or the Brewers allowing season ticket holders in years' past to use their original tickets even after printing at home.  Though I can see why they would make this change with everyone getting in on the secondary market game these days.

I would think all formats (original, printed, mobile) are valid until they are scanned allowing entry at the venue.

This is how it used to work, 69.

Benny, how did you 'confirm' this.  Is it an assumption, or did an original printed ticket not scan at the gate?

Dr. Blackheart

As a double back up, I text the PDF to my iPhone.

I printed two of my four tickets last week and gave them to a friend.  He backed out about 3 hours before gametime, so I decided to take the kids but didn't have time to get the printed tickets back from him (and I didn't save the PDFs), so I went to gomarquette.com on my iPhone and put all four of my tickets in my Passbook.  When I showed up at the game last night, I had the originals, but when the gate agent scanned the first original, it declined.  I had my iPhone at the ready, so I had her scan them instead and in we went.

That being said - and thinking about it a little more - I suppose I am not 100% certain as to which original ticket was scanned, but I'm pretty sure it was one of the two tickets I did not print (since that would have been on top of the stack).  It is perhaps possible that she scanned one of the tickets I had previously printed, in which case, it may be possible that simply viewing the barcodes on your mobile do not nullify the originals (but printing would).

In short, I have confirmed that at least one of the following will nullify your originals: i) viewing barcodes on your mobile or ii) printing at home.  I'm assuming both will nullify; however, I will have to wait for Western Carolina to replicate and confirm which, if not both, nullify (unless someone else wants to try it out at Houston Baptist).

Worst case scenario:  You can always go to Will Call with a photo ID and they will print a brand spanking new valid ticket for you.
Have some patience, FFS.
