Strotman: Saying goodbye to Paint Touches

A little more than three years ago I walked down to the basement of Johnston Hall and proposed an idea to one my fellow reporters at the Marquette Tribune, Andrei Greska: Launch a website where the student reporters covering the men’s basketball team could write additional stories as a complement to the articles we published in the [...]<img alt="" border="0" src="http://pixel.wp.com/b.gif?host=painttouches.com&blog=28348875&post=12109&subd=painttouches&ref=&feed=1" width="1" height="1" />

Mark, thank you.

What does the future hold for you?

Quality work, Strotty.   Good luck going forward.

Great work Strotty. I'm guessing a congratulations and good luck on your future endeavors is due at this point? Keep up the good work.

PT filled a void when we had the likes of Tom Enlund and Mike Hunt covering the team.  Thank you for that and good luck!

Dr. Blackheart

Good night young Strotty.  We still get to enjoy you at CSN I hope.  Bulls are in for a great season of coverage.  Thanks and I hope you continue to provide guest articles.

How is the lil bro doing if I may ask?

warriorchick

Thanks for the great work, Strotty. Hope you continue to post on Scoop as a fan.

And continued good wishes to your brother,  Luke. I still follow his Facebook page and am glad to hear he continues to do well.
Have some patience, FFS.

Is "Paint Touches" going to rename itself?  Maybe "Floor Slaps?'

Hey that was MY joke.

So we already have "Cracked Sidewalks" and "Paint Touches".

Which Scooper is going to start the blog called "Floor Slaps"?
Have some patience, FFS.

Thanks Mark...and what Lenny said.

Thank you strotty.  Hope we still see you around scoop.

Any one find it oddly coincidental that Strotty and Mike Hunt are walking away at the same time?  Have we ever seen Strotty in a room with Mike Hunt?  Strotty might be Mike Hunt....would explain all the stuff on PT with nothing on JS.

In all seriousness, what you've done Strotty has been awesome.  It really shows if you have talent and ambition that the sky is the limit in this day and age.  Bravo Zulu and thanks.

Hey all,

Thanks so much for the kind words. They mean a lot. First off, Luke is doing PHENOMENAL. He's completely healthy, began junior college this fall and hasn't ruled out becoming a Warrior in 2016. Hopefully JuCos are still kosher by then  :)

Moving on from PT wasn't something I wanted to do, but I made a promise to myself that I'd only continue if I could dedicate enough time to maintaining it as I had when I first started. I'm now in Chicago covering the Bulls (along with a few other projects), so I've still got my Marquette ties with Jimmy Buckets.

I mentioned MUScoop in my farewell, but wanted to say once again how grateful I am for all your help. To date, we've received 286,000+ page views from MUScoop links, by far the most of any referral website.

I'll stop by here every now and then and may post on PT from time-to-time, but I'm also looking forward to getting back to being a fan of Marquette for the first time since my freshman year in 2009.

Hope to see you guys in the stands (and beer lines) at the BC this season. I'm always down to talk #mubb.
