Does that mean that Deane has black marks on the shoulder area of his white, oxford shirt?

Buzz has 3 jobs.  None are associated with the Bar however.

1)Butcher
2)Baker
3)Candlestick maker

What kind of a joint do you think this is - Porcini's?

Yes, the one place where Deane can actually recruit.

Spotcheck Billy

there must be some Deane stories I've never heard before

Crean is hanging banners in the front window.
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

There needs to be a law office nearby with lots of female attorneys who stop in from time to time. Female attorneys with shapely buttocks who stop in from time to time.

Tums Festival

Hank Raymonds would be the kindly former owner of the bar who stops by occasionally to say hello.
"Every day ends with a Tums festival!"

Here's Crean, tee-teetotaler that he is:

Any of our other former coaches start quoting God a lot lately?

Nope, he's been doing it for most of his life.

I don't understand why Tower and others who don't care for him follow him on Twitter.  Weird.

tower912

Never been on twitter.   Just read what is posted here.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Marquette_g

I see Crean in the strip-club DJ role. Constantly reminding you what club you are in and why it is the best all while spinning some AC\DC tracks.

Where's Deane? Is he mopping the bathroom while nibbling on a urinal cake?

Deane is the regular at the end of the bar telling the same stories with a stack of singles in front of him for the bartender to take for his bill as he plows through beers.

While wearing his sunglasses. Indoors.

Yes, or sticking the singles into a g string.

FACT - Deane did do some "business" with one brunette attorney in particular...Deane was quite the spectacle at Taylor's and Hegarty's.
"I'm not sure Cadougan would fix the problems on this team. I'm not even convinced he would be better for this team than DeWil is."

Nary a word about the Lord from I4 while he was at MU, at least in public.

Putting out bible verses and retweeting Joyce Meyer as soon as he got to IU.

Granted, twitter wasn't around when he was at MU, but still.

When you get the roles figured out, can someone please make a "dogs playing cards"-like print of our former coaches?

RECAP of the MU Bar - Personality Roles

Deane:
It seems Deane's personality has risen to that of a drunken, womanizer who begins his consumption approximately around 11 am, continuing through 5-6pm.  Women coming for a quick, happy hour cocktail, from the adjacent law offices, are his prime target.  Although, he's content with whatever walks through the doors at times.  Al, being cognizant and sharp witted, keeps a tally of all the women that get "Deaned".  Each week there are bets on how many notches will be etched onto a white board.

Tom Crean -  Showboat salesman, that comes into the bar to sell trinkets during happy hour.  Typically, he comes right after tanning at the salon across the street.  Extra cranberry juice is stocked behind the bar as Crean does not drink any alcohol.  Al, being witty again, is known to start up the deep fryer or fire up a pizza to extinguish the tanning vapors that Crean excretes with every sales pitch.

So far it seems Deane has been a fan favorite with his womanizing and drinking.  If you could supply some more ideas for the coaches below, it'd be much appreciated... and humorous for all.

Al - Bartender (allowed to drink behind the bar)
Wojo - Bar Manager/Owner
Buzz - Pool Shark running scams in the Back Room Pool Hall
Bob Dukiet - suggested role is piano player so far
Tex Winter - I would say.... bookkeeper.
Rick Majerus - Cook/Chef?  Minnesota Fats?
Kevin O'neill -
Hank Raymonds -

Hank loved to gamble on the dogs in Kenosha. I saw and talked to him many times there.

asdfasdf

I just read this entire thread laughing my ass off. My question is, how many people were picturing Heggarty's as the bar the entire time?

Skitch

Rick Majerus is the guy that only shows up on 25 cent wing night

RJax55

Haha, great thread.

I picture KO being the stressed-out sales guy that frequents the bar. He's loud, vulgar and abrasive.

keefe

Majerus as the bathroom towel dude is priceless but he is also perfect as the short order cook. Either way works. He could be the short order cook who left home with dreams of being a chef. In his frustration he begins draping off his apron string a grimy, soiled towel that everybody mistakes for grease stains. Whenever Crean's salesman orders food he handles everything with 'the towel.'

So Deane is Carla's husband from Cheers?
Al is Sam Malone
Wojo is Diane
I'll give Buzz Woody...likable enough, but dumb as a stump
Rick.....I'll suggest Norm
Crean....Either Cliff...a bit insufferable or a version of the guy running the restaurant upstairs, but replace with a tanning saloon.

Hank....Coach
