BC I like Otule Gardner and McKay, CO is one of the finest young men you could ever meet...but to say they remind you of Bo, Whitehead and Toone is a little off, unless you are looking at height only.  I would walk into any alley with those three cats and not worry once who was waiting for us.  Whitehead and Toone especially had a nasty disposition on the court and sometimes off the court too.

Go Warriors..

I was just looking at height, Whitehead, Toone and Ellis were pros, not sure if any of this years group makes the pros, maybe Gardner and I have not seen McKay so I have no idea if
he has pro ability.  He will have to add 30 lbs. of muscle and be able to shot the 3.  Reading the boards, he plays more like Dennis Rodman.  Both groups discussed have size, O'Tule and
Whitehead, about the same, Toone a little taller (much different type of player than Gardner), and Bo and McKay about the same in height.  Bo was a true leader that took MU to 2 out
of 4 years to the final 4.  He was the glue.  Defensively, the 3 played zone against NC, and won that way.  Toone was not a great defender.

Where do you measure? Do you measure by the shoulders as some do or by the top of the head?

If a guy has a flat head or slouching shoulders of tall shaped head and high shoulders as does Jameel McKay then he might seem taller so height is crazy like that.

Then you have the in shoes and out of shoes aspect as well.
To me it is posture too.

Jamil looks like the tallest guy on the team that way so IDK As a rule..I go by how tall they play not by actual height.

Um. height is height. It's an objective statistic from the ground to the tallest point of their head. There is no other way to measure height. Nothing to do with shoulders, flat/tall shaped head, posture, or "looks like".

We R Final Four

Holy sheet did this thread go sideways.  How do YOU measure people???

Height matters.   Just ask Judge Smails and Ty Webb.

Crean made Stanford's Lopez dudes millions and spots in the Association.

Buzz Williams was on that staff

Absolutely correct, with one minor correction.  In the NCAA height is apparently reported as from the ground to the tallest point on their head + 2 inches.

MuMark

Both of those kids had pro futures before Crean coached against them.

Come on....Crean has nothing to do with how much they are making now...

As a yes man.

Buzz was responsible for the scout vs Kentucky.  Buckley did the scout vs Stanford, if I recall.  I don't see Buzz as a yes man.

🏀

Brook Lopez is pretty damn good, regardless of his game against us where he was giant amongst boys. He probably should have scored more than 30 going up against Ousmane and Burke.

Robin on the other hand...
