You'll be hard pressed to find writers that agree with Vander's decision so should come as no surprise.

I think calling Jamil Wilson a glue guy is selling him short, hopefully he has a breakout year next season

Out of the 15 others on the cusp: Butler, Creighton, Georgetown, St. John's, Villanova

And, in terms of league expansion, SLU also on the cusp.  I'd be very surprised if they weren't a top 25 caliber team next season.

Trent Lockett turned out to be a "glue guy."

If we're to be what we can be next season, Jamil had better be more than that!

Even with Vander leaving, I'm thinking we are still Top 10. We have strong guards and a great class coming in.

We have Todd Mayo and we have a good replacement for Junior.

I'd figure 8th or 9th.

I don't understand how the Hoyas are not ranked.  They return everyone but Porter.  Whittington, assuming the house is in order, should really help.

And my friend from San Fran raves about this Domingo kid they are getting.

G'Town will find itself in the rankings most of the year is my guess.

Tough to count on freshmen and our PG situation is still not an absolute rock solid position.

Prepare to be surprised.  Kwamain Mitchell, Cody Ellis and Cory Remekun were all in their top seven and have graduated with no replacements in sight.  They will definitely struggle with depth.  Keith Carter from Proviso East was recruited by Majerus to replace Mitchell, but he transferred to Valpo at the semester.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

I agree that Georgetown is being underrated.  As long as Joshua Smith doesn't see a lot of PT, they'll be pretty good.

G Town was the only team in the tournament without a senior.

I would've put us at 12 but I'd say this is a pretty fair ranking for us all things considered.  Also Andy Katz has us at #13
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

A crazy thought occurred to me this morning. Maybe Vander left, because he was affraid of losing his starting job. He is not a point guard, so he would not start there. The three is going to be taken by Wilson, Taylor or Mckay so he would not start there. That leaves the two where he started last year. What if JJJ is so good that Blue had to fear him starting or at least significantly cutting into his minutes at the two?

I'm sure that his now-agent probably said the exact same thing to him a few weeks ago.

Crazy, yes.  Original, no.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.
