Hey wadesworld-----It's lack of playing time. All players want to play minutes.

Are you saying he doesn't see the playing time at MU like he does elsewhere?

Or are you saying that he doesn't see how he'll be able to crack the lineup because MU's that talented? ;)

Year after year Carolina usually recruites and usually gets the best players. Koenig and Tokoto could find themselves on the pines in key situations, they are good players and would want to be in the game at that moment. Why does Koenig want to go to UW? I bleed Gold and Blue.
so to me they both are rejects. MU has openings. Maybe Koenig isn't quick enough to play "D"
on our team. Just a few thoughts.

Kansas, Duke, Texas usually stockpile their good players also no matter what position.

I'm sure Buzz would love to have him.  I would love to see him lead our team.  Too bad it isn't to be.  We will all get to see how good he is since it looks like he will be on UW.  I don't look forward to facing him for four years.  Is he serious about NC or just keeping them on the list for now?

Have you considered that kids who grow up in Wisconsin are life long Badgers fans.  This is especially true for kids outside of the Milwaukee area who have no ties to Marquette.  The Badgers are the state's team, and any time that we are able to land an in-state recruit, we should count ourselves fortunate.  I know from my own kids experiences at their public schools, they take a fair amount  (good natured) heat from their peers and teachers alike when they wear their Marquette apparrel instead of Badger stuff. One of my own kids supports the Badgers in football, but switches back to Marquette for the basketball season.  It is as much of a challenge for Buzz and his staff to go into the homes of Wisconsin recruits as it would be to go into the homes of Indiana kids.

I went to public school in Tosa and I grew up rooting for Georgetown.  I never encountered the UW-Madison love when I was growing up, but I guess I could have just missed it?  Like you said, maybe being close to Milwaukee softens the love for UW-Madison?

When were you in school? There was a time when UW sucked in both basketball and football. First they got good in football and then basketball.

According to Evan Daniels, Bronson Koenig is very close to making a decision.

Safe to say, it won't be Marquette.

I'd say Wisconsin-Madison at worst is a 60-40 favorite over UNC.

According to Mark Miller, it's Wisconsin:
