If you have RoadRunner and live in SE Wisconsin .. reboot your cable modem.

The bandwidth tiers changed yesterday.  If you had the 8/512k standard tier .. it's now 12/1.

I somewhat accidentally rebooted my cable modem yesterday and noticed the tiers had changed.

Just in time for the weekend porn downloading.   ;)

Is there like a press release detailing what changed?  I just moved into a new apartment and have no idea what my current package is, but am interested in seeing what all changed.

Related ProTip:  I have had problems with RoadRunner routers locking up and needing reboots every week for as long as I can remember.  About a month ago I put a lights-timer (like you get for xmas trees) on the router to bounce it at 4am daily.  I haven't had to bounce my router manually since :)

That's actually a pretty damn ingenious tip.  I'll keep that in mind when my router inevitably starts to crap the bed later in its life.
