so who else is playing besides MU, Duke, K State and Gonzaga.  Will there be CBE games played at MU that dont include Marquette?

That's what it seems like. And not sure what the other teams are.

MU, Duke, K State, and Gonzaga "automatically" play in the CBE "Championship Rounds".

Twelve teams from across the nation will compete in the 10th annual event with Duke, Kansas State, Gonzaga, and Marquette hosting regional round games from Nov. 14-17. The four hosts will then advance to the Championship Rounds, Nov. 22-23, at Kansas City's Sprint Center, while the remainder of the field will participate in subregionals held at campus sites.

Given past history, it probably won't be anyone to write home about.  When MU was in the CBE classic during the 06-07 season, the first two games were against Idaho State and Detroit, and the 4th team in Milwaukee was Maine.

The games in Kansas City, however, were amazing last time.  Marquette, Air Force, Texas Tech, and Duke.

Beating Bobby Knight and Coach K in back-to-back nights was awesome.

Not to mention the Air Force Academy's cheerleaders, were some of the hottest I have ever seen in my life. Yes, the AFA. I had no idea, that chicks that look like that join the AF. :o

I want this quote to serve as a reminder to the vast majority of scoop posters in regards to the MU BB program.

That was banner-worthy, at the time.

It was close enough for me.

Where is Warthog these days?  We could have used some of his levity after another excruciating tourney loss.

so when they say that MU,Duke,Kstate and Zaga are the teams that automatically advance to champ rounds, is it only those 4 in the champ round playing a semi final and ship or are there 4 other teams that work there way in to make a typical field of 8?

In 06-07 it was just the four teams with 2 semifinals, and then a championship and consolation game.
