Quote from: The Sultan on May 19, 2026, 10:50:21 AMLook, I know that you are getting off in the "War with Iran" topic making everything political even though it isn't tied to the actual war in Iran, but could you please contain it there?

There are plenty of people who don't want to discuss random politics here.

I mean... The threads title is political to begin with. What idiot made that?

Dumba$$es all around.

We already know you don't like women. We don't need another reminder.

So many lol's in here.  Who could have seen this coming?!?

Kinda think the B10 and SEC did this on purpose because they would rather deal with a player's union than antitrust legislation.

Impossible! College sports were saved on Day 1, when the Russia-Ukraine war was stopped and inflation was ended!!

And the Big Ten and SEC have changed course.  Courts are going to be busy and lawyers are going to get PAID

If they went the collective bargaining route wouldn't that only affect the P4 conferences? What if the BE and A10 don't participate and telling player you don't have to belong to a union while offering better deals to basketball players than the P4 collective bargaining agreement. After all the P4 is more about football.

This was part of the new agreement:

The larger cap is intended to prevent circumvention by including all athlete deals with universities and associated entities, such as multimedia rights partners, corporate sponsors and apparel brands. Affiliated brands can ink deals with athletes outside of the cap, but they must attest that those deals are not school-funded or directed.

Well, that clinches it ... there won't be any cheating at all after this is implemented.
